What little bit helps I would continue with old programe at same time of advising the trainer that Im going to notify his supiors of his work ethics.
Im so tired of bad service these days, bad quality, and yet we have to fork out our hard earned cash to that crappy style!! We need to make a stand against it..MY NEW WORKOUT TSHIRT SHOP***** I am taking suggestions and ideas and making Team Shirts for the fitness industry, then adding them to the shop! Just inbox me!

Just back from the doctor's office. I'm now on antibiotics and steroids. Which means I will be set back big time for this comp. If I put on less than 10 pounds in the next week it will be a miracle. And, even though I know it's just water, for some reason it takes ages to get out of my system and start losing again.
Oh well.Simp's Back: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=165133671&page=1

Very sorry to hear this. Sucks to be sick and miss time especially when we are trying to make progress. I have missed a total of 2 weeks of working out so far due to a back issue and pneumonia . Heres to a speedy recovery and that you get to feeling better ASAP!!
You mention the gains will likely come from water weight. To get rid of this excessive water weight do you just drink more water or ? Curious....

I don't know the science behind it, but the steroids stay in my body for a while, making it very hard to drop the water weight after I'm done with my 8 days. In the past it's taken me weeks to get back to normal. I'm hoping that a very strict diet over the next 8 days won't make this so bad.

Bizzarre!
Sexy, does this trainer joke work "for" the gym or independently "at" the gym? If I were you either way I would vent all that frustration on the gym manger as they don't want unhappy folks there either!!!
If it were me, I'd be finding a new trainer if you feel like you need one!Last edited by roosed; 11-30-2010 at 08:22 AM. Reason: Cant type

Actually got to go to the gym yesterday; been a while. A few days ago I Jogged 1.5 miles and walked 1.5. My goal is to do a 5k in respectable time next spring, not competing to win just finish while they're still counting time. The 3 miles took me 47 minutes. The first mile was 14 minutes then 16, then 17. I've kept to the 1/10 mile walk 1/10 mile jog. This is pushing me pretty good. Next time I should get 3.2 miles after that I'll try to do a few laps jogging 1 1/2 and walking 1/2 tenth of a mile until I'm doing that with every lap. Just trying to build up slowly, and after I lose some weight it should get easier, and recovery should be faster(ankles and shins giving me a little trouble).

Great job!
Awesome!! Keep it up!
I saw that in the other thread!!
Well last week I made some adjustments to my cardio as my weight loss became stagnant the last 2 weeks or so. I upped the intensity and length. I now walk at 6% incline from 3.5-3.7mph for 45 minutes and was rewarded with a 3lb loss even during the week of Thanksgiving. And I certainly did enjoy my food as I ate that food for 3 days including chocolate and pecan pie etc. My goal will be getting to 60 min long sessions at least twice a week and doing the rest at 45 minutes for a total of 5 cardio sessions weekly. I might do all 7 days just depends on how I feel etc.
I will be off on vacation Dec 15 thru Jan 3 so I will be busting cardio during that time for the stretch run .
Question for the guys lifting weights and the frequency you lift. I am going 3 days on and one day off which means each body part (except for legs) gets worked twice a week. Is that a bit much? Want to be sure I don't overwork my muscles and not let them recover and grow as they need to. Thoughts?

It really all depends on how your body responds to it. For me, that would be too much but I lift very heavy and hard. Not to mention no body is the same and others can respond vastly different to training protocols.
Are your DOMS completely gone by the second go-round? I would just go by how you feelMFC Illuminati

It varies honestly on the DOMS. My routine is pretty intense as I only rest 45-55 seconds between each set however I am not pushing the weight you are but still pushing good amounts for just getting back in the gym 8-9 weeks ago. My strength has gone up a good bit, I am back doing 155lbs behind the neck presses and my bench has jumped up a lot along with curls etc.
I think I will go by how I feel as you stated above. If I still have some soreness when I get ready to start my next round during the week I will take another day off so I don't do more harm than good.
