    Abs:

Panatta Plate loaded Ab Crunch. I like this better than any other ab machine of its type. I've had a few people say its their favorite piece in my gym. I'm hoping to visit Panatta again soon, so I'll pay more attention to the selectorized version of this machine. This machine offers a very cool strength curve and motion path. The crunch at the end is fantastic.

Hammer Strength MTS Ab Crunch: Its classic, its convenient, and its very good.

Panatta Abdominal Isolator bench: Fit-Evo Line. One look says it all. its genious, its comfortable, its challenging.

gym remodel progress - back room - back wall

Lucky to have a few minutes to take some more pics. We are currently located in a 5,000sf facility that was originally a hardware store in the 1950-1970s. What I've shown previously is the main store front and retail space (ie- the areas featuring our EFS collegiate power racks, Rogue dual sided half racks, Legend oly platforms; machine rows posted yesterday). I'm getting close to finally defining what will be placed in the remaining bonus spaces of the back room and basement... So here's the line up for the back room:

    Back wall

Hammer Strength H-Squat (acquired via craigslist sale in Medford)
Flex Hamflexor Kneeling Leg Curl (acquired via craigslist sale in my hometown)
Nautilus Low Friction Compound Row (acquired via Ebay used equipment vendor in VA)
**this space will eventually be occupied by Nautilus Low Friction Pullover (awaiting Goalder shipping; acquired via craigslist sale in Columbus, OH via forum member Mike)
Nautilus Low Friction Torso Arm (acquired via Ebay used equipment private owner sale in NJ)

Hi D2rmind- We have 7 kids from our facility who are currently running cross country/track at NCAA D1 level and 4 more who have signed on at D1 schools for next fall out of a town of about 60,000 total population- ALL of them love the Nautilus power plus leg press used in the unilateral setting for single leg work and also fused bilateral setting for seated calf raise... We employ a wide range of machines for unilateral work to improve hip extension/flexion mobility including: Forge power runner, Hammer Strength h-squat, Powernetics high stepper, Sorinex ground gainer along with extensive work on more basic unilateral movements like step-up and lunge variations etc. So it makes a lot of sense for us to keep this type of equipment to serve/grow our client base in this market niche.

That said- we see the most overall use day in day out with leg press machines in the following: 1/ Pendulum hip press, 2/ MedX Avenger leg press (bilateral use mostly, but some love it most for unilateral work), 3/ Rogers Pendulum seated squat pro (unilateral use mostly)... That order may very well change once we add the Atlantis pivot leg press (with wide footplate mod) later this year... Needless to say I can't see myself ever selling any of these awesome pieces in our lineup.

    Hope this info helps!

Posting some equip pics for sbd1805

It's been great to talk equipment with Nic past few weeks. He's putting together a really great line-up for his home gym! I'm looking forward to having him visit our facility in a few weeks to demo some equipment to see if he wants to pick up a few pieces I'm in process of selling... I don't think that he can post pics of his place yet so I'm helping out-

Has anybody tried Jbell dumbbells? Really cool looking. Prolly hard to demo outside of vegas though.

I don't believe in deloading. Instead you should find someone at the gym, ask them to be your friend, once you are friends ask them to blind fold you, make sure not to look cheeky because otherwise they might get the wrong end of the stick. Then ask them to load the bar with a number between 2.5kg - 250kg, then blast out 4x10 reps. You gotta get past that mental block, deloads are a waste of time and you don't get any kudos from your new friend at the gym. Seeking: Hip Press

Any thoughts on the difference between the Atlantis low row vs unilateral low row / lat pulldown/ unilateral lat pulldown? Obviously the variety of exercises increases having the unilateral capabilities but does the strength curve change at all between the two machines? I appreciate any and all input! Thanks guys

Atlantis LPD vs. Atlantis unilateral LPD

Hi- I can't speak for the Atlantis low row vs. unilateral low row... Here are some pics of the Atlantis lat pulldown vs. Atlantis unilateral lat pulldown. We love them both for the following reasons-

    Atlantis lat pulldown
*kevlar belt smoother than traditional cable used on other brands
*height of pulley attachment - much better for taller athletes when doing pulldowns/tricep extensions than with using adaptor clip on our Atlantis unilateral LPD

    Atlantis unilateral lat pulldown
*nylon rope smoother than traditional cable used on other brands
*pivot action of dual pulley attachments allows for unique movement pattern

Also- as Chris has written in the past, we really love how easily the seat adjusts on Atlantis LPDs & how the 5lb add-on weight plates are integrated within the frame on Atlantis LPDs etc... Hope this helps!

Atlantis incline row & Atlantis unilateral row

I am definitely planning to purchase the Atlantis incline row with kevlar belt (or whichever brand this belt actually is) and the Atlantis unlateral row with the nylon rope pulleys that pivot as shown in these pics (pic can seen at link below if pic isn't viewable...) Have no doubt that they are going to be as popular as our Atlantis LPDs... Again- Hope these pics help!

Pic of ndmike99's Atlantis unilateral LPD with adaptor clip

It might just be us- but we feel that the adaptor clip lowers the the pulley height pretty significantly... We also like not having to move/re-move the adaptor clip all the time to swith between unilateral and bilateral movements...

Thanks so much for the helpful advice. I am looking into buying the regular low row and lat pulldown but have only ever used the uni-lateral ones. This helps for sure. Much appreciated!

Atlantis Power Squat sold quickly on EBAY. Someone got a major deal at $1300.00 It was easily worth $2500+ No different than a brand new piece, plus it had the modified wide foot platform. I thought that the low entry point at $1300 would get a few bidders involved, but I guess the timing wasn't there. Well, its gone, and Goalder already put it in his truck when he was here last, so that all worked out fine.

The only thing left at the moment is:

    1) Nebula seated calf. I'd be willing to make a great deal to someone here if I don't have to put an ad up.

    2) Three Ab benches, one has to go. The Nebula or Atlantis Ab bench. Still trying to decide between the two. I just don't need three ab benches I'm leaning towards selling the Atlantis.

After those two items, its tough to say... the rest will take some time to see if there are any I can live without.

If anyone has interest in the Atlantis Ab and Nebula setaed calf, let me know. I think Goalder would deliver both of those for the the price of one machine. I can find out, but I'm certain of it.

I checked out your Power Squat on Goalder's truck....I was this close <--> to contacting you about it. Unfortunately it would have cost me a lot more than $1300 and shipping. A new wife and children are hard to find.

FYI- We're still looking to find our original Pendulum power squat pro a good home preferrably with a forum member (only reason we're selling is we were able to pick up a Rogers Athletic Pendulum power squat pro)... Looks like Goalder will be out to my facility in a few weeks so turnaround on recieving the piece will be faster at this time of year - please message me if you'd like to make an offer. Will send pics via email. Thanks

    Hello everyone,

I hope I am not bothering anyone.

A noob here.. I need your help please.

anybody has any thoughts on Rogers Athletic's Reverse Glute Ham as I don't seem to find any vids or reviews on how this thing works, if it is worth it and how to compares with the Reverse Hyper Machine.

    Thanks,

Actually, rpark, that's exactly what it is, Strive's new Prime evolution line. I can only find the biceps machine on their homepage though.
