Disappointed for Vic

8th place, wow. How the mighty have fallen. Hope he gets back into 07 form, I had hoped this would be the year.

I'm pretty surprised that Rockel and Wolf both placed above him. Wolf is looking great no doubt and Rockel has a very aesthetic physique but I figured Vic's size and lines would get him into the top 5.

Anyone else feel this way?

He was off and deserved to be out of the top 6 IMO. Rockel and Wolf were better at him than prejudging.I'm glad that Rockel placed higher than Greene and Vic, he was the better bodybuilder that weekend. Vic definitely improved for his posing routine but from what I understand about the judging, improving for the finals only helps when your already in the top 6. Posing doesn't count towards the final score at all anymore, and so when Vic and Kai were out of the top 6 after prejudging, nothing could save them after that.

His legs seem to improve a bit, conditioning wise he was ok, I don't agree with ppl saying that he was way off and holding water, I feel he deserve to beat kai and rockell

ever since the screw job of 07, I've been rooting hard for him. He has dealt with more than any other bodybuilder in the past three years competitively and personally. I really hoped he would shock the world this year but oh well. Maybe next year

I feel bad that Kai placed ahead of him.. No freaking way IMO should Kai have been ahead of Victor. I had Vic in 6th... but I am slightly biased since he's my favorite bber, but no way should he have gotten 8th

Vic looked awesome, IMO the leg is definitely not a glaring weakness now so his mission for taking the year off has been accomplished.

He was slightly off in conditioning and definitely could've been bigger. If I were judging I'd rank him #1 but I"m biased. At least this year I understand why it happened unlike that 2007 farce.

Conditioning wins shows and it was probably the screw job in 07 which saw the judges take this into consideration more. Being the biggest isn't enough and Dex winning in 08, Jay's new streamlined physique and the placings of Branch the last couple of years shows this. Almost everyone at this years pre-judging bar Vic, Kai and Roelly were conditioned and look where they placed. Its that important.

If Vic had come in with anywhere near Branch's conditioning I honestly believe he would have been challenging Phil and Jay. He has a phenomenal physique but he just can't seem to get as hard and dry as the other top guys.

Even though they were both off I do think Vic should have placed ahead of Kai.

Vic is the only one who can hang with jay at his current state if he was diced he would of been top 3. But he was very off.

Victor will get back up there.
He has a very asthetically pleasing physique and looks good form every angle.
I am confident he will get back up to his 07 condition in the near future.

victors frame can still take 25 pounds of pure muscle and he will look like an incredible mass monster.

Definately not back to his 07 shape but he's getting there.
He only lost to Kai by 1 point.

that would be insane if he could add 20-25 pound for next year and get his conditioning right.

i hate to say it but it seems like every year people expect vic to be back in 07 form, its always, "next year is his year" or something to that affect. wish the planets would all align and he could nail conditioning, mass, color, posing, all of it.

rockel was more dialed in but is missing so much muscle in the back it seems. with that alone i believe victor was dialed in close enough to rockel to have pushed him out of a position, as for victor beating wolf... i don't know about that. wolf came in three times better than last year and was tight all throughout prejudging and finals where it seemed victor only got better in the finals

One of my favorites for sure. I also felt he was much better than Kai. I don't know what the judges were looking at in Kai (perhaps hype). Kai was more off than Vic. IMO Vic has the best build out of the top guys. I hope 2011 is his year.

I'm a big fan of Vic's, but he HAS to step on stage more conditioned to hang with these guys. He was not "off" he was about 3 weeks out compared to the top 6.

Agreed. Rockels back sucks and his lower abdomen is really distended. Not much V Taper on Rockel.

but Vic fuked up.. he looked awful Friday, better Saturday... Vic can hang with Jay Kai Phil and Branch.. but he is yet to bring the conditioning needed to do so, he can still add more size with out hurting his lines, and that wont hurt either,


This was more disappointing to me then 07.. and honestly he wasnt even spot on in 07, his conditioning still wasnt where it could be.. but this was supposed to be his year, and he blew it.. He will have no problem qualifying for the O again, so hopefully he brings it next year.

he didnt deserve top 6 after the way he looked friday, but you could argue that he deserved to switch with Kai, but all we can do is wait for next year
