If I'm only buying the squat rack, 330 lbs (4 x 45, 2 x 35, 2 x 25, 2 x 10, 2 x 10) weight plates, barbell, barbell locks, how much should I offer him? He told me 530$ for those, is it pricy or a good buy?

smith machine by maxicam - $700 (trooper,PA)
I have a full commercial grade smith machine for sale. It is the same one you would find in a planet fitness or la fitness. The machine its self weighs about 450 lbs, is 8' tall x 4'wide x 3'deep. I have solid iron weight plates (Olympic style not the plastic sand filled ones). 4-25lbs, 4-35 and 4-10 lbs. Plates. Also it comes with the commercial grade adjustable incline/decline bench and a 3/4 inch thick rubber floor protector. . Be warned that should you buy this. That you will need a lot of space, this thing is very large and very heavy. I will help you disassemble, move and reassemble it as long as your not to far away.. This retails for around $3500 and that will not get you the bench or any weights and no rubber mat. And installation from a company is in the several hundred dollar range.

I guess it would all depend on the deal. If the drive is 4 hours each way, that's a lot of gas and time. They might come down enough to make it worth it, or maybe Allison won't give as good of a deal as I think. LoL....the seller may not give a crap about Allison's deals!

Hi Guys,
I'm looking into buying a 2nd set of plates. I'm in contact with this guy that has 2 x 300 lbs set York (pics of the plates attached).
What's a good price for these two sets? Also, what's a good price for just the plates (no bar)?
He's asking $275 right now. He's an hour drive away.
Also, would this set be a step up from my Troy VTX set?
Thanks

It is a decent deal, but it will probably pan out to be two sets of 255 lbs. in plates, with two 45 lb. barbells. The question is what quality the bars are, etc. 510 lbs. of plates for $275 is just shy of $.55 per lb. I am unsure if that is normal for those specific Yorks since those appear to be the China version. I'd still pick them up in a heartbeat myself, the plates look to be in decent shape.

I'm looking to add a pair of 45s to my bumpers set and I'm a bit OCD about matching sets so I found this: http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/m...910942817.html
Price seems steep considering I could get the same set brand new for $20 more. What's a fair price for used bumpers this days?
Also, would this be worth the 2.5 hour trip 1 way? Or has anyone had any experience shipping a pair of 45 plates?
Thanks
