    Grip Training

My grip seems to be severely weak when I have to grab objects over a certain width. My grip is extremely tight around skinny objects like a barbell but when it comes to a large hand, I can't grip it worth ****.

    How to train this?

    possible ideas:

if you have a thick bar, use that in training

or wrap a towel around whatever you're gripping to increase the diameter (pullups, etc)

not sure i fully understand the Q tho

You train to lift wider objects by training with wider objects. If you want to lift a certain weight on a thickbar, then you should train thickbar. If you want to lift a certain blockweight or some combination of plates, then train with blockweights or combinations of plates.

do pinching exercies like hold a stack of plates together, and work your palm by holding big stuff with your thumb and pinky, like a shotput type thing but heavier

also saw this thing where you hold a sledgehammer and lift it behind you so its parrallel to the floor for reps, so its running along your leg, then you squeeze your pinky and thumb together and lift it to parrallel.
