    Help please with distended stomach

So about 2 years ago I went from 215 lbs to 160-170lbs. I was greatly pleased by how I looked with clothes on, but the problem is that my stomach sticks out far past my chest and makes me feel like I am still fat. Its really taunting in the fact that I can lose as much weight as I want (and Ive gone down to 150 lbs thinking my stomach may be fat) but will still appear to have a gut. Im fairly confident its not fat, as when my water weight is low my abs are visible, but pointless on a large belly. Ive tried stomach vacumes. Is there anything else I can do to get rid of or diminish my distended stomach?

I still think of myself as overweight, and am always eating like i'm on a cut even though I dont have really any fat to lose which is harming my health in other ways. I fear I cant get over this in my mind until my stomach is atleast moderately flat.

maybe you could do things to simply emphasize other features
your stomach sticking out isnt a big deal...ive been totally impressed by people with guts
just have really big dave draper pecs that will balance out your upperbody n having that gut will make you look bigger. honestly more intimidating id say

ive got wide hips so i work my shoulders and lats good to make me have a better taper

How long have you been doing those stomach vacuums ? And how consistent were you ?

Also, do you have swayback ? People with lordosis/lower crossed syndrome (such as myself) tend to have that distended gut. So if you have a poor posture this could be the main culprit.

I have the same problem and am starting stomach vacuums.

I'm 6' tall and I used to weigh around 140 lbs when I was younger. I had the distended gut even though I was real skinny and had a good diet.

I suggest you don't listen to people telling you to lower bodyfat, as it is unlikely the primary cause.

how would i change my posture to help with this problem?

Also: i eat very cleanly, only have taken whey powder, and am unsure of what is meant by "insulin resistance".
I've heard about "if your chest gets big enough no one will notice your stomach" but that seems years of work away from me and frustrating that the only way I can look good is to have a massive chest, when my weightlifting and bodybuilding goals are quite modest.

This sounds more like a medical problem than a diet/exercise problem. See a doctor.

In the mean time, don't be afraid to put on some muscle. It will balance out your physique. And keep up the vacuums.

    Two more questions:
Does eating high volumes contribute to a distended stomach in the long run (I know directly after a meal it will make ur stomach stick out further?

What do people suggest for set and rep times for stomach vacuums?
