    Update on my deadlift. Some how I wasn't able to count to 4 today, I was going for 365lbsx4 but instead I did 3 reps of 365, but I know I could have definitely got 4 reps. I am going to max next week and hopefully I get 395 or 405. I am still pretty happy about 365lbsx3 though since my 1rm was 365 only a month ago.

    Do you back squat higher than you front squat cause the video of your 265lb front squat looked like it was right at parallel.

    honestly it varies. i squat pretty wide and it just depends. i do a slow decent, so its not like dive bombing straight down. i think one of my 335's was parallel.

    I did see the video in the log. Do you really like front squats that much. I just can't get over the feeling of the bar on my neck when I do them. It feels like someone is going to choke me.

    ????? i dont put it on my neck.... not sure what you mean.... is it resting in the natural groove of your shoulders?

    but i know what you mean. sometimes it rolls too far back and it does that.


    YES I DO LOVE THEM! THOSE ****ERS WERE THE BEST THING I'VE HAD SINCE ORIGINAL NOOB GAINS!

    how many times have you done them and how much wieght did you get up to

    oly grip (its like the same grip used when coming out of the bottom of a clean), I'm not sure what a cross grip is. I have done them only a couple of times and usually no more than 200lbs when I have. I have never done them on my own, I only do them when my schools lifting coach has us do them.

    no problem.

    those squat-rx videos are great. theres a ton of them, this summer i plan to watch them all.

    hope this helps. give them a fair shot. i started low, so by the time i got to harder weight i was use to the form.

    im not sure what your program looks like, but if you have a DL day, i'd throw them in there and then squat another day. they work as assistance work to DL.... help off the floor. i would do them before DL though.... they dont take away from DL much, but DLing 1st makes them hard as hell.

    I'm not too sure putting them in on my deadlift day would be such a great idea. It is by far already my hardest day. And my deadlift day was today, so I don't want to wait a week to try them.

    just a suggestion.... you planning on doing them after squats? many do this, im just not a fan of this approach.
