very interesting, yes I believe he did compete,There was a book in the mid-80's something like "super high-intensity bodybuilding" or something like that,he was actually the cover model, no long hair or facepaint.but it was him, There are several youtube clips on him, very intense,a little out there,he is a motivational speaker now,and made a brief return to wrestling a couple years ago.

The Ultimate Warrior was a great character back in the 90s.

Damn he still looks great, though someone should tell him to swallow his spit rather than foam at the mouth the entire time he's lifting. He was great though, I guess when he was in wrestling is when I watched it because I remember him vividly. The interviews were awesomesauce, back then I didn't even speak much English, glad to hear even natives couldn't make sense out of them.

Jim was a great man
Jim got me into bodybuilding at 14 when I was between relatives in
Indiana and Chicago. Before he got famous he was a regular
guy that loved training as we all do. He went really far in
anything he put his mind to I looked up to him when I was a kid.
We're all sad he is gone now, he was really smart and had
alot going for him. He is still missed..
Thanks for posting the links.

yes, they wrestled as a road warriors rip off kinda team called the blade runners. their most notable run was in mid-south/uwf under the same name. warrior eventually split and went out into his own around 1986 i think, where he was in wccw as the dingo warrior, and after a brief run for less than a year i think, entered into the wwf as the ultimate warrior.Deathstroke and I list our most hilariously awful WCW moments (lots of gifs & vids; expect load time):
