Can Hash be a good food to eat for breakfast?

Mixed with some eggs although it is high in cals and fat there is a ton of protein and not that man carbs. I figure if eaten in the morning it will give you some energy and the extra cals will be burned through the day.

    Umm... define 'hash'?

If we're talking food of some kind and it fits your plan, then go for it.

But you burn the same amount of energy in a day, whether you consume those calories at breakfast or at dinner, so if you're eating high calories at breakfast purely for an 'I'll burn it off' idea, that's not how the body works.

Make your own, sodium problem solved, and you can be sure it's the best quality because you made it yourself. Besides, it's cheaper and very simple to make your own hash (browns).

Yea, hash can be a good thing to add to your diet. I would use it in the evening though.

I used to eat hash and 3 eggs every morning. But I walk 7 miles or so at work and I don't gain weight.

It is higher in sodium but I don't add anything to the eggs. We all eat way more than 2000 calories a day so the percentages is a lot lower if you keep your sodium intake low for the rest of your meals. The premade Hash from Trader Joes is the best.

Yes hash fits perfect into a meal plan. Plus after the hash the meal will taste so much better.
