When are you supposed to do the Pull ups, Chin ups and situps in Rippetoe's?

He doesn't say when, he just says they aren't assistence excercises and you should do them along with Rippetoes, but do you do pullups first chinups and abs afterwards or what?

I thought pullups were on deadlift day? You only do one of pull up or chin up. I'd do abs last

It doesn't really matter where you put them as long as you're hitting the 5 main lifts. I used to run SS like this:

    M:
    Squat
    Bench/Press
    Cleans

    W:
    Squat (light)
    Press/Bench
    Deads

    F:
    Squat
    Bench/Press
    Chins
+a couple sets of arms and maybe some back extensions

Yeah, see, I don't want to edit his program. I want to do the excercises, but I don't want to not do the pull ups, chin ups and ab work he says we should do without explaining when, so what should I do brah?

You should go to the wiki and look for the Onus Wunsler version of the program.

ahh, you are misinformed. he DOESNT want you to do pullups, chinups, or ab work. but if you have to do them do the chins/pull ups after workout b. 2 sets of 8 reps. the rippetoe wiki says to do 3 sets of 5 reps of ab work on friday if you must do abs

Really? Tell me how I've edited "the fuk out of" his program, especially when Rip, himself, has several variations, some of which are extremely similar to mine.

If you look at his posts on his forum, you will see that as long as you are squatting three times per week, alternating the bench press and press workout-to-workout, and incorporating deadlifts and power cleans (and staying away from BB rows), you are doing the program correctly.

He has some variations where you are alternating cleans/deads every workout, and in Practical Programming, he lists a program where you alternate them WEEKLY (and alternating chins/pull-ups on Monday and Friday). The bottom line is the program is somewhat flexible as long as you are squatting and pressing when you are supposed to and making progress in the five main lifts.

Read his books and his forums if you are going to comment on the program.

Blananana: If you look at this program, you will see that it's very similar to the one I posted above, except the Onus Wunsler version has a higher frequency of chins/back extensions and a lower frequency of deads/cleans.
