    Cool ? for morning workouts

ive read here that it is better to eat before working out in the morning so you dont catabolize the muscle groups you are working for energy.

if you dont have much time in the morning can you down a mrp or protein shake? and how long should you wait before lifting so that the nutrients get digested?

    thanks for anyones help!

Yeah that works, and it depends on the type of protein you ingest. A whey will be absorbed much faster, but won't work as long. In the interest of anti-catabolics its best to consume a protein high in casein.

    ok

so maybe a 1/2 whey , 1/2 casein shake 30 min before working out should do the trick?

Yeah, definitely. Don't forget to take some afterwards as well though.

What I usually do is add a protein powder to 8oz of skim milk. This seems to work just fine. I usually add a scoop of Optimum 100% whey or EAS's Simply Protein to 8oz of skim milk. This is approximately 1-1.25 hour(s) before working out.
