So far i've been taking creatine for four days, and last night i woke up in the middle of the night and started scratching like hell, I woke up in the morning around six and when i took my shirt off to shower I realised i was covered from my neck down to my knees with INCREDIBLY itchy BURNING hives, and my entire chest was red almost as it was hardcore sunburn
I have not eaten anything wierd in the last week or used any new soap bodywash or been in the sun etc...just the creatine : (
I really hope that it's not the creatine, and i wanna take it again to make sure that it was the cause, but im not keen risking getting those ****ing hives again..
anyway mum took me to the doctor (she was always against me taking creatine caus she did some 'research' online and thinks it'l shrink my pen1s...Unsupprisingly, the doctor told me to stop the creatine, and I have no idea what to do
To make things worse, my personal trainer (ex prof BBer) rang me up the other day to reccomend that i stopped taking creatine "because i'm still growing and not to tamper with my body" (she never took creatine till she was in competition, and it apparently made her sick)
In the pics, this is what my whole body looked like down to my knees from my neck this morning (They're starting to fade now (12 hours later) as the doctor gave me antihystamine)
- Been taking creatine for about four/five days
- Got mad Hives this morning/last night and felt sick
- Doctor says its probably the creatine
- I want to keep taking creatine but dont wanna get those fuxing hives again as i had to miss school
Just wondering, if someone gets a bad reaction to creatine, doesn't it happen like, within 24 hours of taking it? rather than 5 days?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have a bad hive-like reaction to DIAL soap but it usually takes 3-4 days for it to show up... so it COULD be true... at least, for that 'brand'...
ITWM, I would stop for a week to let it clear up and change brands... then try again... If it comes back, look at both brands for other things they both have... if none, then it MAY BE the creatine...
which would be bad...

damn dude i had the same exact problem! anytime of the day if i were to take a nap or something i would wake up with hives all over! i have been taking creatine for years but this only happend one time and i have used the same creatine even now i and dont have the problem
when i had the hives i was taking micronized creatine monohydrate but i dont thinks thats the problem casue i still continued to take it and the hives went away even with me continuing to take it. you have had th same exact problem i had bro and what i did was i went and got some benadryl and after that the hives never appeard again so try that out.
take. the benadryl and c what happens. remember i have been taking creatine for years and this only happend once so dont let ths scare you from creatine cause it most likely isnt the problem. maybe its your soap or body wash change it up or stop using it for while and c what happens.

I'd bet it's something else. I first started getting hives at 15. Doctor could never diagnose the cause. I recently figured it out very quickly while eating some dry roasted peanuts Tried them again the next day and sure enough, it's peanut I am allergic to. I've had "chronic hives" ever since and have to take benedryl to relieve the symptoms when they occur.

Creatine caused me to break out in hives
Did you find a product that did not cause you to break out man?
I started taking a brand of Creatine Ethyl Ester about a week or so ago. I only took it the days I was working out, which I know is wrong- but probably five days in total. After a weekend off the creatine I broke out on hives the following Tuesday (not even having consumed it for at least four days). They looked exactly like what you are showing, and itched at first. I took an antihistamine and the hives went away in about 45 minutes. I was not aware what made me break out so last night I took another cap full of CEE before the gym. I started reacting within fourty minutes of working out- mildly however. Six hours later in the middle of the night I was rudely awoken by an extremely irritating itchiness which then quickly broke into burning hives. I almost considered the ER. Luckily I had more Telfast antihistamine nearby and, again, one pill caused it to recede within an hour.
I am almost positive this is a reaction to my Creatine, which bums me out. I was looking forward to fast results as posted everywhere. Maybe it's my product?
I was taking Ultimate Nutrition "Horse Power"
I should add that this product tastes like battery acid and was lumpy when mixing. I have heard anecdotal info that neither of those things are good. Also had conflicting reports on benefits of Creatine Ethyl Ester (CEE) versus Creatine Monohydrate.
***CAN ANYONE PLEASE RECOMMEND A PRODUCT THAT WORKED AND DID NOT CAUSE HIVES??
