Well 270x5 would hopefully put you over 300, depending on technique and core strength. Which is pretty damn sick. 400lbs is kinda the freakshow OHP these days. Only a few strongmen would be capable of it I think. And heavy (242+) benchers who train it (Vinnie Dezenzo (sp?)).

615x3 was a realllyyyy good set, I dont know why but I decided to lower my bar position today and it greatly helped my strength. A high bar is no longer a good option for me... i dont know if its because my lower back strength and core strength has greatly improved, and improved beyond my quad strength... but my squat form as of late has not been good so i decided to change it a bit. Overally it felt way better and if I squatted 645 high bar on a bad day, 675 wrapless is well on its way.

thanks man, the difference between this set and 610 last week is huge, and ive dropped 2.5 lbs since my last squat workout ontop of it (yes OCD) the last rep of 615 today was faster then the first of 610 with the higher bar. I have the same power out of the hole, but ALOT more midrange/lockout power....like I said, I dont know if its because my core strength and lower back strength have greatly improved.. but low(er) bar used to be way weaker, now its way stronger. but racking the bar lower then usual just seemed natural today so i gave it a shot... didnt really plan it or anything lol.

Incline benching was REALLY strong today, over head press not so much, probably from the deadlifts from a couple days ago.... pretty surprised at how much core and upper back is involved in putting a bar over your head.

Yeah overhead **** can be a bitch when they're locked out... my core shakes like crazy whenever I pause one out over my head. Have been thinking of doing overhead squats to gain some core stability, but I don't have the flexibility for that yet.
Kinda crazy when you watch oly lifters lock the weights they do out over their head... their torsos are rock solid.Last edited by Baby_Hulk; 11-11-2009 at 08:07 PM.

Form kinda all over the place today. everything felt heavier then normal. Next workout I will double 640. I could of done that today but I just left it at that. Don't like pushing myself with heavy weights when things already feel heavy... I find I start burning out pretty quickly when I do that.Last edited by Newbtime; 11-20-2009 at 09:30 PM.

When i pulled 680 from the floor after maxing my squat at 645 a while ago..i missed a 690 block pull from the same height about a week or two later... like not even close missed... and im not getting that little bit of flexion because its a rack pull not a block pull... so I have made some pretty good progress since then... im planning to max my pull in about 4 weeks and Im shooting for atleast 710.

Today didnt feel strong at all but I still wanted to see where I was at because I hadnt done a heavy single in a while. I could have squeezed out 660... and even more with a more effecient warm up... and if I was rackin the bar lower like I have been the last couple times... 675 wrapless should be in reach shortly.
