    Regarding Beta-Alanine

    I've been reading that it's a very important supplement to take. How much is the correct dosage to take? I take Jack3d for my pre but that's it, am I getting enough?

    I believe the minimum is 3.2g a day. Usually I split it up minimum 1.6g pre and 1.6g a couple hours later.

    Also not sure how much beta-alanine is in jack3d but considering its a 4145 mg prop blend per scoop I'm going to go with you aren't getting enough at one scoop dosing.

    I'm not really sure on that since a lot of pre/intra/post products have some amount to them. But a bulk powder like the one from NOW be an easy way to get the minimum amount you want (plus it is quite cheap).

    clout and body octane are very good but id get bulk ba powder if i were u and just add that to ur pre-wo (allmax is cheap)

    I take 6 grams a day. 2 in the morning, 2 pre workout, 2 later on in the day. just buy bulk BA. pretty cheap, should last 5-6 months.

    If you get Anavite (multi vitamin) you will get 3G of BA with your daily dosage. Many supps these days have BA (Ultima, Core ABC, etc...), and of course you can get bulk BA (I have Primaforce bulk BA)

    Muscle Pharm's Assault has 2g Beta Alanine per serving (half scoop). It also has creatine, NO, and Taurine. Great pre-workout.


    So what's the difference between Beta Alanine and Alanine? Whey protein has 1.2g Alanine per scoop.

    Endurance mostly. It increases muscle carnosine which acts as a buffer for hydrogen ions that you release when you work out. On sets of 8-10 reps I've noticed that the last few reps go up a lot better after a couple months of BA supplementation. It actually does work and it's proven. Won't do all that much for your top end strength though.
