    how important is bone size

do you think your bone size should affect your choice of exercises?

like some guys have these skinny 'piano-playing' fingers, while others have thick ones

just because your bones may be a differnt girth compared to others doesn't mean your joints and tendons do not operate the same.

they may operate basically the same, but what really matters when you are talking about the bones is the RELATIVE RELATIONSHIP of them to each other, meaning, in a mechanical sense, the LAW OF THE LEVER.....

keep in mind also, that there is variation on how and where the tendons attach to the bone, so that, we know have several variables: the length and thickness of the origin bone, the insertion bone and finally the actual point of insertion.....

this is the reason why we are stronger or weaker with certain movements or that we are prone to injury with certain movements and not ever.....

since we cannot "dissect" ourselves ( while alive, LOL), this however, explains what we mean when we say you have to learn YOUR body in BB.....

Bone girth should determine the weights you attempt to handle, not which exercises you should be doing.

    No.

The big basic barbell moves in your profile above your goals(and their variations) are still the best bet for the core of your program.

    Appearences can be VERY deceptive.

I used to have skinny musicians fingers, and very thin wrists for decades.

Now my wrists and fingers are thick. Since the transformation took place AFTER AGE 50, couldn't possibly be much bone growth. But the connective tissue is much thicker and stronger from heavy grip and wrist work and an aversion to straps.

I'm sure that under the deceptive exterior, there is a tiny ectomorph trying to get out. He can damn well stay put!
