Keto Carb Ups....can they be dirty?

These are some possible foods I would want to consume on carb ups, would they be allowed? They are basically the only carbs that I will miss. [Note that I would be bulking with ~6000 cal]

Sushi Buffet (A ****load of rolls with rice + meat)

Asian buffet (lots of noodles, meat with high carb sauce, like sweet and sour/etc)

Fried Chicken(with crispy coating) + Potato Wedges

    Pizza

Avoid pizza, avoid fried chicken, sweet and sour sauce has a TON of sugar.

Even if you're bulking, there's no excuse to gain a ton of fat to go alone with it.

The Asian thing sounds like you could pull it off, just get your own sweet and sour that is reduced sugar and aim for noodles, chicken, and lower sugar sauces.

It's not recommended but see what you can do. On this trip there seems nothing else you can do, or you can just start when you come back in two weeks. Because if you're NOT doing it clean, there's really no point in my eyes. It's not that big of a deal if you wait after your two week venture and do it.

This similar to the guy who came on and talking about alcohol during keto. Normally avoid it, but if he can't or doesn't want to, delay keto until he can take it a bit more seriously. When I say seriously, that doesn't mean to undermine your anxiousness or excitement on going on keto, but realistically you have to think of doing it successfully and avoiding some of the contentious aspects of the diet..."dirty carb-up" being one of the main.

My carb ups are pretty much X-rated. Chocolate, donuts even beer in the evening. I still dropped loads of BF in 8 weeks.

I am now bulking and do keto with high cals during the week and then let my hair down Saturday night through to Sunday night.

Well, cheating on regular bulks once a week wont result in extra fat gain, so all im wondering is if somehow those type of carbs dont work for carb ups.

If you can find a pizza place that makes their pizza with while grain flour I don't see why that would be such a no-no.

I would avoid dominoes/pizza hut etc.

What you really want is moderate fat with starchy carbs. You should limit simple sugars. Remember the goal of keto is to control insulin levels and keep insulin low. During our carb up we don't want huge rush of insulin, so using a moderate fat with starchy carbs will slow digestion causing less insulin to be secreted, or just enough to get muscles filled.

I disagree. I made whole wheat pizza with fat free cheese. Less than 10g fat in the enitre pizza! Then I could put on some 99% lean ground turkey on top. It is delicious!!!!!!!!!!!! I might make that this weekend.

Watch the fat intake. Look it up on their site.

Keep grams of fat intake below your body weight in kilograms.

White potatoes are OK (but not ideal) at the beginning of a carb up, but not as good towards teh end.

Sushi with white rice is ok again, at the beginning.

I still dont understand why fat needs to be low on the carb up day, is it just to keep cals in check? Cause I dont think one cheat day a week is bad and it makes sence to carb up the same day.

However I still cant see my abs, but i just added in cardio this last week. Been ketoing for around 5 or 6 weeks.

What if I only calorie-up on my so-called "carb up" day..by eating japanese buffet that serve LOTS of sashimi, beef, etc. without "loading" my carb. Can this be doned in order for me to speed up my metabolism and burn more fats??TQ

I'm not bulking, I use cheat days as a, well cheat. I'm switching to eating Keto 6 days a week and having a "eat whatever you want on Saturdays". I'll be eating plenty of pizza and breadsticks this weekend.

It's a NO-NO!!! Tons of sugar, oils, flour.. TRUST me.
Chinese uses LOTS of oil..even for steamed food such as steamed fish, steamed minced pork, etc

I'm a bit confused too, but from what I gather it's just a total body workout (as opposed to the splits, if you do those) at a lower weight with a LOT more sets

okay, so do you basically do chest, legs, arms, back, shoulders, all in 1 workout with high reps low weight, then do your 30 mins of cardio too? can someone confirm this.
