More often not it seems they favor the 5'9 5'10 guys over 6 ft dudes

It takes time to fill out a tall frame to look as big as a shorter competitor. Another problem sometimes is the bigger guys who do fill out, particularly on the amateur level, tend to get consumed by size and lose focus on conditioning. You don't often see at some of the NPC shows the super heavyweight winning the overall. Percentage wise, the heavy or LWH is the most common overall winner.

Its about individual genetics, some guys are tall but big with it, most tall guys genetically cant fill out as easily as short guys.
Im tall and stocky. Kinda like BigShow
Generally id say tall guys are at a disadvantage, but its individual, also if you are too short its gonna count against you alot also.

Very true. It really depends on the judging that day. Some judges like the look of taller leaner aesthetics and some like the smaller, blockier look. From my experience competing (im 6'5" tall) as long as you come in conditioned you shouldnt have too much of a problem. One plus side I can say with height is you tend to dwarf other competitors, when you throw your hands up over your head and hit a front double biceps all eyes are on you.

as long as you come with enough size and condition i see why not.
That said, shorter guys have a more compact look and that may help them in bodybuilding. for classic physique the taller guy may have an advantageDisclaimer: The above post is my personal opinion and does not represent the official position of any company or entity.
