Thanks Alex! I was so upset for her because she was really excited about her first paycheck, and then she was all tears because of the mistake at the till
She did really well in her exams and even more son because she had anorexia for two years and nearly had to drop out of school"Better to wear out than rust out!"

Thanks Tom!
I was physically drained after that first dead lift session .. Of course that's the way you want it to be. It definitely helps me to be pushed .. I can be a bit soft in the gym sometimes
The core stuff and rehab stuff has helped as well

I was in Jackson this time last year (I was actually skiing on a broken leg .. no wonder I was so sore). I got to ski with Tim one lunch time .... he's an awesome skier and it was really good of him to take the time out. The hotel where the conference is with the group he works for now. I know he'll be busy when he gets back from Japan but it would be cool to catch up for a ski/lift/drink, so ... maybe?
I love back squatting! .... I try to go deep though and work for form so I never get heavy. Most of the time I've been box squatting, but nothing more than 245 so far
I think I'll just go old(er) gracefully
Yeah .... that pyriformis issue lasted a good 12 months but it has settled and I am getting much more flexible --- I'll probably get a vid of my squats up first.... it would be very interesting to compare my squats when I started out after the pryiformis issues!
Ha! At least someone is noticing whether I post a workout
I have been in transit and then skiing!
Friday 22nd Feb and Sat 23rd Feb
Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Yeah buds .... skiing in Jackson Hole!
Thursday night I didn't sleep --- I had forms to fill in; bills to pay; bags to pack so I didn't get one wink of sleep!
I caught the plane in Adelaide at 7:30am and arrived in Los Angeles at 6:00am the same day! (you cross the date line --- believe me ... this really fcuks with your mind)
I watched two great movies on the way over:
Argo, and
Seven Pschopaths!
Both great movies ...Argo is a quality story and Seven Psychopaths is just funny, funny, funny.
I started off the flight with 4 glasses of champagne, a riesling, 2 glasses of shiraz and 2 glasses of port. I followed that with a Melatonin/******(Stilnox) chaser and slept for about 8 hours
I arrived in Jackson Airport at 3pm to pick up the hire car to finds out that (in the middle of the night), I had managed to book it for Jackson, Mississippi
Anyway we hit the snow on Saturday morning at Jackson!
10" of fresh Powder ..... WOOT!
We had a great time ... took it leisurely and easily but had great fun today
Vertical 6,300Metres
Distance 27.5km
Today's runs:
More tomorrow and I'll get a chance to catch up with the logs!

Skiing sounds fun - I feel like I'd hurt myself pretty bad doing it tho lol. Enjoy it! Have you taken lessons for it, or you've just been doing it a while?
If your interested in any other funny movies Andrew I watched Identity Thief the other day and its pretty good.My log

Yeah Ryou! I'm sure you'd love skiing being an outdoorsy, eco type of guy --- you might just have to leave Hawaii to do it though
JH is a pretty cool resort
I actually skied for the first time when I was 20 (eehh ... a long time ago). Back then I wore an acrylic jumper, neoprene type pants and long straight skis
(I really should try and find some pics from back then )
I skied regularly for 10 years and then didn't ski for another 10 years, in which time skis and the way of skiing had changed. I'm nowhere near as good as I'd like to be so I still take lessons --- I'm hoping that at some stage, skill will replace what was my youthful, athletic enthusiasm (it still hasn't happened)
I'm always interested in movies! I'll watch out for it!
I confess that I've been guilty of excessive travels this year It helps that my wife is Irish and we have family in Aus, the US, France, Ireland and London.
I've always travelled a lot though, and I lived in Ireland and England for 9 years so I have the travel bug ..... I just haven't quite figured out how to pay for it all yet though
Two weeks time!
I know you love the skiing .... you guys don't realise what an asset you have in the US with ski fields so close. I didn't see snow until I was 20. To my mind, nothing beats mountain scenery and the chance to ski fresh snow!
Jackson Hole Day 2
24th Feb 2013
Today was a beautiful day .... plenty of fresh snow that had fallen overnight and a crystal clear day!
I skied with 3 friends today ... two guys from my hospital in Adelaide and one from Seattle
Today's skiing:
Vertical = 5,979metres
Distance = 27.9km
Today's tracks:
The team:
And if you drop by Tim, we had a great meal last night in the Spur at TML, and we've got nothing but praise for the Terra so far

Thanks Tom! The conference started today --- 6:45 - 9:00 and then again at 17:15 to 19:15
I had a great day skiing today though ---- lots of sunshine and still excellent snow conditions. On my first run of the day I did get cleaned up by a snowboarder.... no injuries though. It's an old joke: 'What's the first thing a snowboarder says in the morning? ..... Answer 'Sorry, dude!'
That's what he said
My favourite pastime!
And I'll be skiing for two weeks if my knees will hold up. After that though there'll be no more holidays until the end of the year
Thanks Musid! I've always taken a lot of pics and I've had good cameras all my life. I used to carry my SLR on the slopes but the places I go now I'd be worried that I'd fall on top of it, so I just use my iphone now. Mountain scenery is always awesome
Monday 25th Feb 2013
Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Day 3 skiing
Beautiful sunshine for most of the day and still great skiing conditions (although there were a few rocks coming through on some of the steeper slopes)
My knees are a bit tweaked and I can feel my quads, hammies and calves but all-in-all I'm feeling pretty fit. Unfortunately we're having plenty of eating and drinking, so the cut will be waiting until I get back home
Today's stats:
Vertical distance = 5,900metres
Distance = 27.6km
Today's runs (the GPS missed out a whole series of runs after lunch)
I know that these maps don't mean much to most people but it's great to see where you skied and to plot it against the trail. The difficulty of the trails is coded as well, so that the black runs are the hardest --- usually steep or certain hazards in the way. JH is a pretty tough resort but because it's challenging the skiing can be very rewarding. More snow forecast for tonight so we're expecting another good day tomorrow!

Fffuuuuu
Looks killer man! I'm really trying to get to Jackson next year ... buuuuut the fact that the wedding is shortly after when I want to go ... she's pretty lenient but I think I'd get in trouble for that one
Not sure what app you're using but I used "Alpine Replay" when I was out west this year and we loved it (you told me what app you're using ... but I forget and am too lazy to look :P).Training Log - The long overdue comeback: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=171218951

The pink is the terrain covered --- the great thing about the resort maps as compared to your usual google earth is that it makes sense for someone looking at the mountain from the village. On a big day we might cover 50km/30miles but we're treating our knees with respect and covering about 15 miles a day at the moment
I've got huge respect for that programme so I expect you to do well out of it!
I'm eating and drinking way too much ..... but I'm having a great time
When I get back home though, I am going to have to be the perfect father and husband .... I'll be helping with all the homework; driving the kids everywhere; keeping the garden immaculate; fix all those doorknobs, and pretend to laugh at the jokes of my wife's friends. It will probably be worth it ..... just
But you live in NZ! I would have pictured you Snowboarding in Treble Cone
You'll have to take Team JRF to the snow for August!
Jackson is a great resort --- really a couple of mountains, but all steep and challenging. One of the great things is that because it has a reputation as being 'tough' most of the skiers and boarders are pretty experienced so that you feel safe (apart from the one boarder who cleaned me up this morning)
Yeah ... I think the wedding will pre-emp a lot of things, but you could try something along the lines of 'I might have my stag's night at Jackson, but I thought we'd take the whole week so I don't get too drunk on any one night'
I usually use 'SkiTracks' but at Jackson there is one called 'JH tapped' .... I really like the way that your travels are recorded on the piste map! Other resorts should really try to do the same"Better to wear out than rust out!"

Skiiing again?!? Already that time of the year, or did you just get jealous of Tim?
Is there a conference there, or just there for pleasure? You gotta come to Oregon sometime and give Mt. Hood/Mt. Bachelor a run man!
And Argo is an amazing movie. One of the best I've seen in awhile.Awesome pics. Great size. Look thick. Solid. Tight. Keep us all posted on your continued progress with any new progress pics or vid clips. Show us what you got man. Wanna see how freakin' huge, solid, thick and tight you can get. Thanks for the motivation.

Thanks for dropping in Zack --- I know it doesn't seem like I've been doing a lot of lifting since you last looked in but I have really and I'm trying to get back into the groove on the deads (I feel sorry for my trainer)
Yep .... there's a conference here and then one in Vail. If I've got a choice of a conference in Jackson Hole or Melbourne, it's a tough choice
I want to get to the PNW sometime .... one of the guys I'm skiing with is from Seattle, so you never know
I thought Argo was a great movie and I thought that Christoph Waltz was brilliant in Django Unchained.... both well deserving of their Oscars!Last edited by fittofattofit; 02-26-2013 at 04:36 PM.

Thanks for dropping in Tim
We had a great day on Saturday with all the fresh snow and then the last two days have been fun rediscovering the mountain. I knew you'd be flat-out busy but if you can make the time it would be great. You are also very welcome to join three loud Aussies and a Seattle native for drinks or a meal (not that you'd be looking for things to do in your home town )"Better to wear out than rust out!"

drinks + meal are more likely. tomorrow could be my best chance to get out- maybe lunch hour. I'll shoot you an email if it looks plausible. Topping it off (besides having multiple clients in town- i've got two groups of friends visiting - arriving on Thursday.. one a lady friend). I'm tired just thinking about this week

If tomorrow works that would be cool --- it was supposed to be 5" fresh snow overnight but it hasn't happened yet - still the conditions are pretty good up there although a few rocks poking through on the steeps. We'll be out from 9 but could meet any place or time that suited if you do get a break tomorrow

Day 4 skiing --- Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Beautiful sunshine again plus great conditions with a dusting of new snow. My knees are starting to feel battered and bruised so I'm icing them at the end of the day as well as dosing up on ibuprofen (and alcohol)
Today's stats:
Vertical distance = 7,295metres/23,000 feet
Distance = 33.1km/20.5 miles
Top speed = 108.5km/h
This was the most skiing we've done this time and we took advantage of the great conditions
I'm not sure about the 108km/h but the GPS said it was true so I'll take it
Tomorrow is looking promising as well with potential for more snow overnight
Today's runs : the pinks are the runs we took
And a pic looking through the woods towards the village
The pic doesn't do justice ---- the air was shimmering with ice crystals
