question for u brahs, I just bought a pair of slim straight jeans. they were washed and everything but they fit perfectly right now absolutely perfectly. even after wearing them for a day they're really nice but will they shrink when I wash em? should I just do a cold cycle and then hang dry them?

Yes, by 2 sizes in the waist.

They will stretch too. Mostly in the waist (easily an inch, more is possible)

And ignore any tagged sizes of pants you own. Measure your true waist where the jeans will sit and use that measurement to figure out what you need. If you have a perfect fitting pair, it's useful to take the measurements of them but don't ever trust the tag size.

if they're not raw denim (which I have very little knowledge about), washing them with cold water and then hang drying them should not shrink them.
best to not wash jeans often though. I wouldn't wash them unless it has been a while, they smell, or they're dirty. My .02
