Hey everyone, I was wondering what part of your deads rack pulls would help. I'd like to add them to my workouts jus for something different.
My other question is if your allowed to use a hook grip when in competition or do you have to stay with the double overhand grip. Im gonna start competing later this year (maybe),my bench is a little weak for my weight. I usually bench around the 380lbs range and I weigh 270 right now.
Any info is greatly appreciated.

I haven't heard the term rack pulls but I'm new to powerlifting. But I built my deadlift up by doing half lifts every other workout. I would set the weight up about 3 inches from the ground and DL from there. It really helped my grip and confidence. Now I do just the reverse where I'll deadlift from a step about 3-5 inches from the floor. This has also helped me with starting my lifts off strong. I use a semi summo stance so I don't know if this advice will help you at all
