I think we waited long enough already and it's time to act. Invade Norway.

You know what is weird man, when I walk into a church I get mad nervous like I don't belong. I feel like a hypocrite because I turn to God when things are going wrong. I should always turn to God even when things are good.
With that said I am going to do just what you said I am going to go to church tonight, pray to God and ask for some forgiveness with my selfish ways.
I really need God in my life right now ---REAL TALK------On the list for Bannukah

This was about religious beliefs. I could have easily countered with saying that to me his beliefs are off too, but what would that gain me? Regardless of the subject, just because you can say something doesn't mean you should, and not think there won't be some kind of repercussions. People don't need to express their opinions all the time under the guise of free speech.

Especially when it comes to religious beliefs it becomes virtually impossible to both respect and accept an opposing opinion. Faith tends to be pretty cut and dry, respecting another's choice and accepting it as valid aren't mutually exclusive IMO.
Religion, politics, and dietary advice are conversations that never end well! LOL
The truth may always be the best policy. Sharing it isn't always the best choice!I'm a sad little man

start NGAF. just about everyone in O35 (hell just about everyone here at bb.com) disagrees with me, politically speaking. i'm ok with that. also, it's always good to look at your beliefs in new slants. maybe you'll see their point. likely not, but you know... maybe. i like new ways of looking at things. an evolving way of seeing life is always a good thing.
the dialectic is difficult to ignore. it's human nature.

BH you will find that a lot of Catholic churches, especially the larger ones, have an open door policy to enter throughout the course of the day. A lot of churches are not accessible outside of their hours of services. Is there a Catholic cathedral anywhere near you? I loved just sitting in the churches/cathedrals in Mexico. I miss that a lot!

I'm an atheist, but I see no point in arguing about it. I don't believe in it, but what the hell do I know? All I know is that I find it easier to get through life not believing in God, Heaven, etc. But if I turn out to be wrong, I think it would be cool if God welcomes me and tells me, "Look, I know I'm a hard thing to believe in and you've got a really logical, skeptical mind, but since you were a good person and you didn't hurt anyone, come on in. No hard feelings.

That is not hypocrite... that is HUMAN. Admittedly while there is not much difference in some humans I do not see it in you.
Real talk.
EDIT: 'feeling welcome'
I have always dispised 'the hypocricy of religion' since I was 8, my dad died and members of 'the church' where I grew up began ragging on my mom for not getting married 'the next day'. Still, it is one of the few places where I (believe I) felt the 'presence of the "holy spirit"'...
When my oldest brother and I went back 'home' for my nephew's wedding, we stopped at the church (which over the years had been closed, rundown and nearly demolished for structural problems) to find that service had just concluded...
A new congregation had saved it... in more ways than one... and they were preparing to have lunch together in the basement... which seemed ALOT bigger back then...
We spoke to the pastor who told us the story of how he had passed the property and 'was told' to bring it back. Squeaking by, they fix and improve as they can.
Before we left, I went back up into the 'sanctuary'... and there it was... that feeling of 'belonging'... the 'spirit'.
I have felt that only in ONE other.

In the military, there is a saying: trust me with your life, but not your money or your wife.
I find this both true and ironic. I'd easily take a bullet for one of my fellow airman, and I know they'd do the same for me. But everytime we have some type of squadron get together, one of them MF are trying to smash my wife. Caught one last night infact. Likewise, some of them are married to some fine tail....
Seems wrong, but that's life.

I sure could use some waffles about now...and throw in some oatmeal.
I'm open to any suggestions and have a difficult time accepting limitations without an honest effort on my part, you can count on that!

Ha ha! You can brother, if you're on the Alaskan island of Little Diomede. Look across the cold water, and there, low and behold sits the Russian island of Big Diomede some two and a half miles distance. Quotes and misquotes, they be interesting things! LOL Sometimes what we've actually said, isn't quite what's portrayed to others, by others.
