30, never married, no kids living in Houston TX
Sitting at about 307K in Assets. Subtracting my mortgage about 87K (which is my only debt) I have a net worth of about 220k. My brokerage account / IRA totals about 135K.
I bought a townhouse in 2015 and immediately rented out space. Monthly rent from my tenant covers about 1/2 of my house expense (Principal / Interest / HOA / Tax / Insurance/ Repairs / Replacement costs).
Currently on track to invest 36k this year on a 62.5K / year salary.

I ask cos I’m semi retired now and I’m 34! But I only make enough to live and some money aside to enjoy myself and holidays etc..
Who wants to work full time till the ripe old age of 65! That’s nuts.. you’ve wasted all your good years working for some dumb boss. Rarely have time for yourself and your time is spread very thinly between friends and family etc
50 is a great age especially if you have no health issues and you e semi retired so to me you’re already winning !!!

62.5k gross or net? If net I could understand, if gross that leaves you approx $900/month after taxes and investments for housing/food/vehicle and all associated expenses. You said your tenant covers half your housing expense but that still leaves quite a ways to stretch $900...

32, 28k in bank account
I'm way behind in life I'm aware. But I went to grad school and didn't actually truly enter the workforce until about 3 years ago. First year cleared all debt. Also I bounced around a bit after graduation before only recently finding my career. I'd say 20k of that was added in the last year.
I should be good moving forward, but I'm for sure in catch up mode in a big way."One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."
