My name is Nich, and I'm just your average 16 year old teenager. I go to school, I play sports, hang out with friends. The only thing different about me is that I am a Type 1 Diabetic. I was diagnosed in July of 2008, almost 3 years ago. Type 1 diabetes has been a difficult journey for me, but I have learned to overcome it, and not let it make me who I am. I came out of the hospital 6'1 105 pounds bone dry :/, that needed to change. Lately I've been getting incredibly serious about lifting, the last four months or so. I started dieting even better then I thought possible, sleeping as much as I could, and lifting incredibly hard. This contest is a chance for me to show the "higher ups" as to what I can really do and why I have enveloped myself with only the best things for my goals. My goals in lifting are to break 1000 for my big 3 by the time I turn 18. As of right now I'm at 810. I also want to set school records next year for deadlifts. I am going to be bulking over these twelve weeks, using a 5 day split.
All I need to do now is find out a way I can order my Juggernaut from BB.com and then I shall begin!
"Before I go to sleep I'm already picturing the weights I will be lifting in 12 hours".
Starting:
Weight:194
Bench:210
Squat:265
Dead:340
Commitment/inspiration: 11/10
Let's get this show on the road!
Good luck to everyone competing, train hard!

Just out of curiosity, am I too young to be partaking in this challenge? I haven't seen a single soul below the age of 20.. I hope there is no age limit, anyone with the heart can do this!

What's up bro? The rules do say 18 and over. I encourage you to continue to log as part of the JUGGERNAUT family - it is a great experience even if you are not eligible for the prizes. I hope you decide to continue to log. Loved reading your intro and would like to follow your progress.

Agree with Bill! Please continue to log! Who knows maybe IL reps will give you an honorary win if you do well! You're taking me back to when i was in school! Broke my deadlift and squat records way back then! My best was 580 deadlift, 520 squat and 385 bench press when i was 18 and weighed 175. Everyone claimed i was on roids, but honestly i have no idea where to even start with the stuff. I've been offered it before but always declined! I encourage you to reach for your goals and smash those school records Juggernaut style!!!

To be honest, this is real disappointing, I mean for myself and for what I was preparing for! I will still continue my log when I order my supplements, and will finish my 12 weeks, juggernaut or not. Hopefully when I turn 18 something like this comes around, and I will be even more prepared! My lifts are going up incrementaly, and I hope to be lifting huge numbers like you did! Thanks for the responses guys.

I reached my goals and surpassed, well my bench goal was 215, but I didn't max out, although I might this week before I leave for my vacation to visit my fam. I am honestly pretty sure I might be able to get 220 now. I am hoping that this log will only prepare me for next year, because is this event not an annual one? One year is a LONG time to wait, but I will train so hard when it comes around!
Oh and my squat is 265x2, although today I set a PR 255x5, so I'm pretty sure I can max more, I just don't know how to be "spotted" for a max squat. I also throw down 225x12.Workout log:

It is amazing what everyone is achieving in here! Be awesome to see what a young buck like you can do! If nothing else this log will help you be more organized and motivated! Honestly you're doing great already! I was so confused about training when i was your age. Im amazed i never hurt myself! I was maxing out like every week lol. I broke my school's vertical leg press by putting 1000 lbs on it and having two cheerleaders sit on it while i pressed it lol. The back pad broke. Be smarter than i was!
