you know what medical school is? it's just a bunch of memorization. doctors aren't smart. they're just the people willing to not have a life for a few years and sit down and just memorize stuff. then when a patient walks in with symptoms they just go back into their memory to come up with the solution. that's not intelligence. that's just someone sacrificing their social life for a few years to memorize facts.
engineers are the intelligent people that use critical thinking to make new designs.
truth.

Oh look, this is new. Bachelor degrees are a dime a dozen.

because i have a life and don't wanna sit down for years memorizing textbooks like a loser nerd. engineers are way smarter than doctors because they actually use critical thinking.
is there critical thinking involved in being a doctor? a patient shows up with certain symptoms. what does a doctor do? he just goes back in his memory to what those symptoms lead to. that's it. it's just A LOT of memorization.

Engineers are just learning formulas mathematicians created
-Some people say good things come to those who wait, truth is, good things come to those who work..... who work later.....who work harder...... who are willing to go further than anyone else to get them. If you're waiting for good things to come to you, you'll be waiting for a pretty long time.

No. The pool of engineers is huge - brb no interview, no admissions process, just maintain a passable GPA.
Some engineers are smarter than doctors but on average I'd say the average MD is smarter. Although MD is memorization --> Memorizing and knowing are different. It takes time + practical experience for doctors to get to the level where they know things. Also not to mention memorization is a fundamental component of intelligence. They also get paid more.
Engineering is an undergraduate degree generally, its nothing insane.

I think OP is trying to convince himself the decision he made to be an engineer was the right one, but it realizing he will most likely not make as much money, won't be as respected, and can't handle med school.
