Oly lifts demonstrate power (explosiveness) and not raw strength (like powerlifting). It is good training for those in power sports (football, Track and Field)

I guess you could help build some explosive strength, but the lifts are very technical and you could get those same benefits from exercises that aren’t as technically demanding with such a steep learning curve.
