Not to hijack thread but
I CONSIDER ANYONE THAT SERVES IN IRAQ TO BE GUILTY OF ACCOMPLICE TO MURDER. I FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT ALL OF OUR SOLDIERS, MARINES, AND AIRMEN THAT HAVE SERVED IN IRAQ SHOULD BE TRIED IN A COURT OF LAW AND SENTENCED TO AT LEAST 10 YEARS IN PRISON.
What kind of moron could say that ****? I take it he's a conspiricy theorist to huh.lol

I'm from the Big East and yes the SEC is the best conference. But be careful with all that bragging... the gap there was in the past is quickly closing..

The big difference between the SEC and other conferences is its depth. Most teams in the SEC are always good as compared to other conferences where normally only the top 1-3 are good. But this year you can see that many conferences have stepped it up and teams beyond the top 3 in the conference are or have been ranked or have beat one or multiple ranked teams.

Finally, an SEC thread.
Don't fool yourself there's 'cheating' at every school. The ones who are not in trouble just haven't been caught yet.
So the Big 10 is the second best conference in the nation based on 2 underachieving teams? The 2 teams that you quoted OSU and Michigan have both been embarrassed this past year. OSU in the BCS game and Michigan with Appy State and Oregon.Last edited by jason_bh; 10-19-2007 at 05:10 AM.

Can anyone explain to me why Ohio State University is ranked #1???
Here's what and who they've played so far:
YSU W 38-6
Akron W 20-2
at Washington W 33-14
N'western W 58-7
at Minnesota W 30-7
at #23 Purdue W 23-7
Kent St W 48-3
Apparently Akron has a pretty good defense?
Purdue, OSU's most difficult and dominant opponent so far to date, has had the distinction of playing this incredibly difficult schedule unmatched by any other:
at Toledo W 52-24 1-0
Eastern Illinois W 52-6 2-0
Central Michigan W 45-22 3-0
at Minnesota W 45-31 4-0 (1-0)
Notre Dame W 33-19 5-0
Ohio State L 23-7 5-1 (1-1)
at Michigan L 48-21 5-2 (1-2)
So their 2 losses has come to OSU and a ****ty Michigan team. Oh, but wait, they managed to beat Notre Dame!!!
Ohio State hasn't played anyone but high school teams and a team whose biggest win was against a horrible Notre Dame. How in the hell are they #1?
To be honest, and I might be a little bias, but LSU, even with 1 loss to a top 10 team (#17 at the time of the loss), should STILL be #1. With wins over UF, Virginia Tech, and South Carolina....currently ranked at 15, 11, and 6!
How can this be?Last edited by Cramerica; 10-19-2007 at 10:05 AM.

For those outsiders who don't understand exactly why this is true, let me explain. The SEC is one of the only conferences that has enough talent to spread it out on both sides of the ball. There are defensive players in the SEC that would be offensive stars in the PAC-10 or ACC. Most schools put all thier studs (and recruiting) on offense to sell tickets. The SEC is deep enough to spread talent out evenly. It's a beautiful thing. I got Tigers over Auburn and UF over UK in a great one.
