Automotive Technician. Recently got a better position and pay increase so I don't know my income as yet but was making about 42K a year. Should be making about 40% more now. Considering my experience, investment of tools, education, training, and the skill I have, it's not really worth it. Should have put that energy into something else and would make more sooner. I really do enjoy what I do. Never will have to worry about a job again at my level.

Public sector - 65k with leave, superannuation etc
- 9-5
- Company car and phone
- 8 min drive from work
Content ? Never. Only way to move up is to stay hungry. I think I'm doing okay for my age, but I could always be doing better. Currently building upon my second income source, which pays for all my expenses.

70,000 a year as a scientific tech, government job. Just started it and prolly low balled since they gave me what I asked for a minimum before interview so going to ask for a raise next year. Pretty good coworkers so far. Company puts in 9% itself and myself 15% so by next year I'll probably be maxing out the 401k. Satisfied as of now with the pay and benefits.

System Administrator for a steel company.
$134,000.00 was last years salary.
I was satisfied here up till about a month ago when the company was sold and now we are all watching our job duties being stripped away and moved off-shore.
I am a VMware ,Active Directory, Storage, Exchange System Admin.
I will be losing the Exchange and Active Directory aspects of my job and will only focus on VMware and our Dell Compellent SANs storage Admin because I monitor and care for a petabyte of raw storage for the company.
Within my company there is a plethora of IT individuals that sometimes show typical introverted personality types.
I simply sit back and laugh at them...but only to myself and on the inside mind you because you can tell that some of them are sociopaths where their fantasy life could easily be their reality if they lose it to not enough Mountain Dew being in the refrigerator on Wednesdays.
Also, no one should own let alone wear the leather trench coat from Matrix but one dude here does.
