Sometimes wish I was a manlet so I could look like I lift but being tall is alright and has it's perks. As for your own height, I grew from like 5'6-6'0 when I turned 15. Massive growth spurt.

15 and 5'6" checking in.
My dad and my uncles got a second spurt at 16-17, maybe I'll get one too. But dad is 5'6" and uncles are 5'7", 5'8" and 5'11" and everyone in my moms side is <5'5" so I might have reached my genetic max.
Idgaf tho. I can fill my frame easily, brb people around me noticing gains in 2 months of lifting. I'm taller than 60% of the girls at school and shorter girls are cuter anyways.

If you want to get in to powerlifting, being short is a huge advantage (less ROM).
Other than that, being a short male is a disadvantage in almost every way. Bare in mind, you still have 5 years to grow as most people keep growing until age 21. I'm 5'9 atm, I grew a few inches in high school but I haven't had a "growth spurt" yet, I'm hoping I reach 5'11-6'1 as I believe that's the perfect height for aesthetics. I've already outgrown everyone in my family except my grandma (she's about 6'1), and my uncle (blood related; he's about 6'4) so I hope I've inherited one of their genetics.

Well i would say overall yes being tall is advantageous. But in some areas it can be good to be a bit of a manlet.
Im 24 and 5.6.
Heres the deal- alot of grls prefer taller guys, its a bummer but its fact. In business people prefer taller ppl sometimes also
But in some sports being short can help, better centre on gtavity etc.
My advice to all manlets is to remember that there are so many more aspects to u then ur hieght. So develop them.
Feels weird giving serious answer : /

I grew most from 13 - 16.
Height has its perks brah, but it makes working out a biatch. I have a manlet friend who looks buff as hell and he benches like 25 pounds more than me and I'm a skinny *******.“I am ashamed to think how easily we capitulate to badges and names, to large societies and dead institutions.” -Emerson

Being 5'6 has its ups and downs dude. i mean, some girls like guys that are taller, taller guys have longer reach in fights, taller guys have longer legs for running, il never be able to reach that **** in the kitchen in the top cabinet behind all the other ****, and i have to use a foot stool to reach the chin-up bar at the ymca. But, we fill out our bodies faster, and... i cant think of any other perks from being short.. gf is 1 inch taller then me, sucks.

Height or anything else is going to hold you back as much as YOU allow it to. That's it.
