Nice work girl, good wt on the front squats and impressed you supersetted planks in there, sounds brutal. LMAO at the cow intermission on your vid!! Ah you're one of the coolest people I know , always wished I was a farmer, Charles Ingalls is my hero SRS.

yep! I vote the best lift video ever in the history of Amazonville. The intermission of cows was great. It also sealed the deal that if I do get some time off here in a month I am coming to visit you and you are going to teach me all about farming in like 2 days. Ok, maybe not all, but definitely how to milk a cow, chase chickens, and whatever else farmers do. Oh, and we can lift too. :-)

Oh nice t-bar rows and throwing in some extra ones at the end. DLs can be so frustrating, I know what you mean. Every "bad" time you have with a lift gets you a step closer to an amazing day of epicness though, power through brohametta, power through!

I knew you would like the cows!!
I think the Oly effects the DL.
Thanks P!!
I am feeling them this am!!
Yes, didn't want to do any more planks, but wanted to see if I could row 2 plates. So, yes i can!!
The DL. I think all the pulling on Oly day is making an impact. Plus I am not DL's like I was in the fall spring. Oh well, we can't max every lift every time!Spoon Barbell Club

I have to do deadlifts at the beginning of my workout in order to be able to lift uber heavy with them. And even then it's a hit or miss

Hi Jani! Happy Wednesday
Are ya'll getting as much rain there as we are on the coast? It's been raining non-stop for 2 days. We need it - it's great. But having a dog who doesn't like thunderstorms (and barks constantly during them!) makes it tough to get some sleep.
Love the video - your lifts are awesome. And the cows are great. Makes me think I was watching a chick-fil-a commercial"If A is a success in life, then A equals x plus y plus z. Work is x; y is play; and z is keeping your mouth shut." - Albert Einstein

Happy Thurs Lori!!
DL's, urgh!
Hey, we got about 3 inches earlier this week and maybe about another 1/2 over the last couple days. it has been wonderful. We have a heeler that hates storms as well. Oh dogs!
That is funny about the CFA commercial. The spotted cow is B. She is my daughter's cow. Well Sydney wanted her.
Yes, the chickens make a pretty good cheer section. But they can be annoying sometimes as well. I love calves. Wait til late October. We have 3 more to be born!!
Hey Geek. Yes, I think that in some ways I am expecting too much of them when I am doing the OLY as well! Plus I am not DL every other workout like I was 4 months ago.
Those T bars were mean!! This concept that Joel has about doing singles as high as you can then dropping back down has been making me more curious on other lifts well how much can I lift? But yes, the t bars use the landmine. Love that thing!!!
Okay, so I skipped my workout today. I am feeling meh on a few levels. My parents come this afternoon and tomorrow is my youngest, Sydney's, 6th birthday. So we are having some kids over and getting a waterslide thing for her. She is excited and it will be fun. So I am going to take off til Monday. I hope everyone has a great weekend!!Spoon Barbell Club

We have had a good one! Thanks Lori!
Thank you CC. I have been feeling less than positive the last few days and haven't been around much. I have been thinking about when my youngest was born. I weighted over 200#, had blood pressure so high I was in bed and couldn't stand to take a shower much less care for my husband and 2 1/2 yr old. I was depressed and miserable. But I made a vow to myself when I was stuck in bed that I would never end up like that again. When Sydney was less than 3 months old I joined a gym. I am so grateful to everyone who inspires me here and who cheers me one. I know I could slip back to that miserable overweight person if I don't make the effort. But I realize that I am not that person anymore and I am so glad that I don't look or feel like that. Thanks for coming by!
Birthday party was fun but rained out!
No slide because of the rain. But we rescheduled it for next Fri!! So we shall still have waterslide fun!!!!!
Have been feeling down lately, but I am over it. My body needed a break as well. I have been eating and sleeping in! I am so excited to hit it tomorrow!! Snatch FTW!!!Spoon Barbell Club

We've had a tremendous amount of rain here too and then the rest of the time it's hot and humid. Blech.

Nice work, JJ! Congrats on the PR!
Those lifts were all white-lights, including the jerk. I think you know how to fix your jerks, though.
On the snatch, can you show me vid next time of you doing snatch balance with an empty bar? Your movement is good, but the coordination is still off a bit. In other words, you are still catching the bar in the no man's land, and riding it down. Keep working on snatch balance and I guarantee at least 10-kg of PR in both snatch and cleans. Once you fix the 3rd pull in the snatch, it will carry over to the cleans..This above all..

Thanks Lori! That is patches. She is kinda sad cause her brother is feeling udner the weather and doesn't want to play!
Happy Monday to you as well.
Joel, first off way to go at your meet!!! That is so darn awesome! It was a great vid to watch and some fine looking lifts!
I did do snatch balance at the beginning in the warm up. i know it is still me pushing higher than my shoulders. I will vid it on Thurs! The jerks were just sloppy. No punch through the roof!
I was really happy with the transition between lifts this time and I think I have found the right hinge maybe I should say on the snatch. I was having a hard time when we switched to shoulders in front of the bar at launch, I couldn't get down as far. That seems to be better now. Thank you and again, congrats on taking 1st at the meet!!Spoon Barbell Club
