Arrow An Effective Way to Lose Fat or Just Too Much?

I'm a 30 year old ectomorphic guy who, after bulking for a while, is now trying to lose the excess fat. I still do my weight training three days a week and now do cardio most of the other, non-weight days as well. I had thought about adding some extra cardio sessions, which I would do on weight training days, but in the evening (I lift weights first thing in the morning). Is this a good idea to help take the fat off more quickly, or is this just overworking myself?

i would just stick with hiit 2-3 times a week and a 500 calorie deficit... too fast a weight loss takes more muscle with it...

    Arrow

    Thanks for the tip.

Maybe this is impossible to answer, but is there any rate I should be gauging myself against when losing the fat? Say, one pound every few days?

I've heard one pound a week is generally the max w/o sacrificing too much muscle.
