1. Cool! I was in another thread and blackjack stated that you should hit that point where you try to go for 10 reps, complete 5 with no problem, and then fail horribly on the 6th rep, meaning, your not getting that weight up no matter what lol I thought that was a great example and wanted to share.
2. Good deal. Sometimes it's hard to tell if it changes colors or not. Those sticks are pretty tricky.Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding.

Decided to weigh myself when I woke up this morning. I was pretty amazed with the numbers. I'm down to 188.8lb. This is the motivation I needed. Looking forward to tomorrow's carb up now.
For now on, I'll be doing weigh in's and bf measurments Friday morning upon waking. This way I know what my weight was before and after carb up. The first of February is coming up, so that means progress pics soon.
Eating breakfast right now and then I'm gonna watch "The Wire!"

Thank you Pishko!
I know it's been awhile (and I've missed you all), but I've been busy focusing on getting my priorities right. I've had way too much time on my hands and I've been spending it on worthless things. I've decided to use my time more wisely now.
God is my main focus right now. After Him comes everything else. I plan on picking up my habit of reading again. In the past, I read all types of books regarding personal development, success, affirmations etc. I enjoy reading books that have substance, something I can apply to my life. So this is something I will be doing. Once I get a job, I plan on continuing my international gourmet coffee business and building it out (slow and steady wins the race). Those are some of the things I'm currently focusing on. I can't forget about my health and fitness though (this includes transformation challenge).
I haven't dropped outta the challenge or given keto up. I'm still going strong, just haven't been on these here forums much. This is gonna change though.
Hopefully everyone is doing great. When I get the chance, I'll go through everyone's logs who I've been following so I can catch up. I'm sure my keto brahs are putting in work! Go hard keto warriors!Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding.

Having a hard time believing that I lost almost alb of muscle since starting keto. I believe it's due to the inaccurate reading of the bei (yes CM, I'm still using that thing lol). Anyways, aside from the numbers, I think I look a lot thinner. Progress has definitely been made.
This weeks carb up went great! Still have 4 hours left. I plan on doing carb ups every other week now. Training intensity is starting to increase though, so I'll adjust as necessary.
Progress pics are kinda crappy. They never do their justice imo. Already looking forward to the 1st of March lol

Thanks bro! It's good to be back! (:
Update: As you all know, I've been absent from these here forums. I have no real good excuse so I'm not gonna make one up lol anyways, I've had a few downs since I've been away from the forums.
First things first. The last time I weighed myself I was at 183.6lb@13.9%. I was pretty happy with that considering how my intake has been. I've been all over the place with my diet. These past few weeks I've been eating a lot more carbs. I've also been way under or slightly over my daily intake. This isn't good discipline if you ask me.
The main thing that's been causing me to mess up is my mind.....I keep reasoning and telling myself that I'm fine where I'm at.....but, this isn't the case. I want to take this thing even further. Therefore, I made a commitment to get back on track and stay disciplined when it comes to my diet. Yes, I'm still doing keto with weekly carbups.
The gym has been great. I'm currently squatting 265lb. However, These past few weeks have been gruesome. I've been getting pain in my knees. Sometimes it's both, sometimes it's just one. It usually only last for a day or two and then goes away. This worries me slightly, but I don't give it any power. I've been studying the squat again in hopes of getting proper form down.
The power clean.....ehh, that's been giving me a hard time as well. Still working on the form. For this reason alone, I've stuck with 95lb. all this time. Gotta get it right. Maybe I'll try increasing to 135lb though in hopes of correcting my form some. I've heard many people say that going heavier to correct your form is best. To light a weight can make it much harder to get proper form down. Who knows though?
Other than that, all is well. I'm thankful and grateful for everything God is doing in my life. Hopefully everyone is doing great!
P.s. I need y'all to hold me accountable. I'll do the same for y'all!!! I'll check out my main bros logs tomorrow so I can catch up a bit. Good night! (:Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding.

welcome back!
I think the reason people say to go heavier about the power clean is, if you overpower it enough you can pull it right up to rack position. The point is that you should have to squat under the bar to rack it. The lower you can squat, the more weight you can clean. Make sense?www.squidoo.com/keto-diet

That makes perfect sense. Thanks Grifts! I'll give 135lb a try and go from there. The ony thing that sucks is I can't just drop the bar because we have no bumper plates....our gym is adding an additional gym area though, so I'm hoping it has bumper plates. Also, my gym decided that it was cool to put mirrors all around the gym. It's been like that since they opened, but it's extremely bothersome. Lol I'm just rantin now

Finished the day strong! I controlled myself all day and feel pretty good. Workout was a piece of cake! After my workout I got ready for church. It was life changing as always. Gonna finish this bit of food I have left and then read some Word.
Tomorrow I have a lot of work to do. I have to work on this business plan as much as possible so I can get on with it already. Thank God tomorrow's a rest day. Anyways, have a blessed night everyone! Get that good sleep! (:Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding.

Still at it! Doing great and resisting all sugar cravings. I do have an awesome idea though. This weeks carb-up is going to be phenomenal. I'm gonna hit up costco and get some delicious desserts. I can't wait!
I'm considering changing programs. I'm not too sure yet. Increasing the weight on squats every workout (3x a week) is really hard now. I'm definitely gonna look into Jim Wendler's 5/3/1 some more, possibly all pro. We shall see.
Other than that, all is well. I'll give a stat update this Friday. Hopefully all is well for everyone else. Be blessed!Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding.

If you want to move away from squatting 3x a week, All Pro is not for you. Look into 5/3/1 bro, it was life changing for me! Been doing this same program with different assistance templates since July and have seen some nice strength gains, increased muscle mass and all around enjoyment out of knowing I have a plan every time I step in the gym.
