Reidy you're underpulling on both your lifts - get your hips through and squeeze those glutes. You're catching your snatches WAY too forward, aim to get the bar over the back of your head. Your jerks are weird, move your feet faster and keep them as close to the ground as you can - it should feel like your feet are gliding over the platform when you split. You're putting too much effort in driving the bar up, you should really focus on pushing your body down.

I was annoyed that I just missed my rep PR attempt on the back squat yesterday, but I got a new rep PR today with 300x6. LA bros, our week with Takano will be cut short for a third time in a row, he won't be here on Thursday/Friday because he's attending the US open in Palm Springs. He said "you should go, it would be a valuable learning experience", which is true, but it's still the academic year and Palm springs is over 100 miles away, and I don't think I can just rent a car, leave for a few days and spend my parents' money on accommodation and gas to attend the US Open.

Yeah, you're doing the same thing I'm doing. Coach keeps saying to stop cutting the pull short. You have to follow through or the bar will always be too far in front and you'll never receive it correctly. Keep trying to really extend as much as possible and you will receive the bar better, or, as Coach says in typical Takano fashion, "you need to myelinate more neurons".

i love it. I make 2 back squat days high reps and 1 front squat day high reps
every saturday i do a 20 rep squat. keeps my knees healthy. THe most annoying part of training 13x a week is the PT time. I am doing my own physical therapy every ****ing day when i just want to take a shower, eat, and go to bed.

What do you do for PT? Just lots of foam rolling, massaging, etc? I feel like I asked you this before lol
Speaking about PT, my PT-school pre reqs are looking quite nice Just need to take A&P, Statistics, Ochem II and Physics II.

Strict press? Oh hell yeah. I do it more than push pressing. Those and klokov presses. Amazing. Srs. I have short arms, so for me the lockout portion is cake. It's the lower and middle part of the pushing motion I needed to strengthen, which strict press allowed me to do.
Before I would makes cleans and miss jerks. Now I'm like rob Blackwell.
