Mack Hollins to IR. Jeffery OUT.

Ertz is going to EAT tonight.

And I have no shares of him this year in 6 leagues.

DeAngelo Williams looked good because he is good and when he was starting there, he was fresh and healthy. The problem with him in his last couple years was overuse, but that wasn't an issue for just four games. Ben Tate was terrible in his one game trial and Conner wasn't all that great last year in limited chances. With that said, there are certainly a lot worse lines, too. Pouncey and Decastro are both legit all-pros, so having that anchoring the middle is a great thing, and Conner looked a lot better in the preseason his second year than he did as a rookie, too. Conner getting a starter's workload behind the Steelers line is definitely startable in fantasy, but just temper expectations. Over the course of a full season Conner would be more an RB2 than RB1.
I want to add context here… That just 85% of Bell’s fantasy output from last year… Still would’ve ranked as the number five running back in PPR

80% would have still made him the 7th RB in PPR

Conner was considered fairly elite at the position before his battle with cancer

If he IS back in football shape....I happen to believe that he is 85% as good as Lev Bell

I doubt you're going to get 85% of Bell's production or anywhere near it. He is back in football shape from what I've seen, but I'm guessing if he is the starting back for any extended amount of time, they will look for more looks for Juju and possibly Washington and really focus on Brown as the #1 option.

I would play matchups between Mixon and Conner, but they both have pretty favorable matchups this week, so it's kind of a toss up.

Gibson will but like I said earlier the offense already runs through Ertz as it is. Do have shares of Ajayi though and hoping for a big night and year from him.

I was addressing somebody calling him more a RB2 than RB1

For further proof that a ton of Bell’s value is derived from the Pittsburgh system.....in 2015, Deangelo Williams started just 10 games.....and finished as the 6th RB in PPR leagues.

If Conner is healthy, he’s an RB1 playing in Pittsburgh

Dallas Goedert is another one to keep an eye on. He was beast mode in the preseason and may force his way into schemes some too over time. A bunch of 2 TE sets is a good way to cover up for all your WRs being hurt.

Yeah, that was me who said that. I follow the Steelers religiously. They're not going to use him anywhere near like they do/did Bell.

What makes you say that? How do you know how they are going to use him if they haven't had to really rely on him before? If this holdout lasts extended games then life goes on without Bell. You really think they change their whole offense around because of it?

My point is that they don’t HAVE to use him the same way… The margin for error and that offense is incredibly large For the starting RB to be top ten at the position in weekly starts

There's a difference between changing their whole offense and featuring certain guys more or less within their scheme. But hey, you guys want to think Conner is going to get 400 touches and 2000 all purpose yards as the Steelers RB just because Bell did, then fine, go ahead. I'm just saying, I follow the Steelers religiously, and I don't think it's going to work out that way at all. Again, he'll be and RB2 (so top 15-20, which isn't bad at all), but he won't be anywhere close to the focal point that Bell was.

Nobody said this. He also doesn't need 2000 all purpose yards to be a top 10 back. I'm starting him in my Flex in any league I have him in so the production we likely get out of him will probably exceed any other flex I could put there.

Exactly. Literally nobody said that. That has nothing to do with what either of us said

I was talking about the history of their running backs.

Like Bettis, Dwyer, Mendenhall, Parker etc. they were all productive RBs. My speculation is that this is why Steelers don't want to long term commit to Bell, because they have been so good at getting backs they don't need to overpay for one.

Leaning Collins and Freeman but think flowers for algohlor and AP have juicy matchups.

I know, but injuries also create waiver wire studs that I need the flexibility to go after. Always like to keep at least 2 drop guys. Currently have 0. Closest I have is cam meredith, but we went to ISU together for a year. Cool cat.
