Okay... So last night I mowed the lawn, and it cost me right around $16 in gas! If we have a summer and early fall with timely rains, figure I have to mow once a week for around 16 weeks... Which is $256 for the year at these gas prices.
Currently you can get a grass eating goat for $100-$125.
Tied intelligently to a tree periodically through a day... I figure 2 goats would trim all the grass.
So if I just buy 2 goats, I save $6 and gain 3 hours of time in my always busy week.
Someone talk me out of this one?6'4"

A step backwards is better than a setback.
If this (insert whatever trivial thing that is upsetting me) is the worst thing to happen today, I'm going to have a great day.

Bear Hunting
Bob was excited about his new .338 rifle and decided to try
Bear hunting. He traveled up to Alaska, spotted a small brown
Bear and shot it. Soon after there was a tap on his shoulder,
And he turned around to see a big black bear.
The black bear said, "That was a very bad mistake.
That bear was my cousin. I'm going to give you two
Choices. Either I maul you to death or we have sex."
After considering briefly, Bob decided to accept the latter
Alternative. So the black bear had his way with Bob.
Even though he felt sore for two weeks, Bob soon recovered
And vowed revenge. He headed out on another trip to Alaska
Where he found the black bear and shot it dead. Right after,
There was another tap on his shoulder. This time a huge
Grizzly bear stood right next to him.
The grizzly said, "That was a big mistake, Bob. That bear
Was my cousin and you've got two choices - either I
Maul you to death or we have rough sex."
Again, Bob thought it was better to co-operate with the grizzly
Bear than be mauled to death. So the grizzly had his way with Bob.
Although he survived, it took several months before Bob fully
Recovered. Now Bob was completely outraged, so he headed
Back to Alaska and managed to track down the grizzly bear
And shot it. He felt sweet revenge, but then, moments later,
There was a tap on his shoulder. He turned around
To find a giant polar bear standing there.
The polar bear looked at him and said, "Admit it, Bob,
You don't come here for the hunting, do you?"

I sure could have used today to sleep all day and watch tv. It's STILL raining, and flooding is getting worse all over the state.
But, since this is a holiday for us, I get double time plus holiday pay for coming in to work. Tough to refuse $78/hr all day......The hardest part of a zombie apocalypse will be pretending I'm not excited.

So my wife was planting annuals in the yard this weekend. There was a blank spot that needed something and she couldn't decide what to put thereand she came to ask my opinion. I told her "I think I should put my peonies between your tulips."
She didn't think I was funny.Bravery and stupidity are often synonymous. So are cowardice and intelligence.

Pretty funny... Last night in last fading motes of light outside, I was looking out the kitchen window when I see this GIANT Coon running/lumbering as fast as it could away from my garden area. I look back towards the garden and there was Jack, (the big ass barn cat that's been cleaning up my rabbit problem for the past couple of months) moving up on the coon, hackles up and looking pissed.
My guess is it's a mother coon looking to give birth, she must have thought the area under my fish house was a perfect den.
However this is where Jack has been living since February.
Jack started moving in on her...
And you could see the coon's body language as if to say "Mercy sir... I beg Mercy."
Jack breaks off in a dead spring for her as if to say "Death, is the ultimate form of Mercy!"
The coon beat it to the woods, and Jack just stood at the top of the driveway triumphant.6'4"
