The thing is there isn't a huge difference between 20 and 30% bf. It all looks close to same. But that 20 lbs of fat + large bone structure makes them them look waaaaayyy bigger. It's impossible to compete with these guys. 10 to 20 years ago most people were skinny. This obesity epidemic is just a more recent thing and now it's out of control

Oh and I don't know if lifting heavy is bad for your joints, but I use to to strap on 5 plats and do dips. And that was a bad idea. Really bad.

Way to blow it way out of context. I'm talking about the average 6ft 220 lb guy here. Unless you are strong and have been lifting for years you won't look big compared to them. I live in the Midwest and every adult man is this size. They all have to be 220-230 lbs

I think it really matters what your running mechanics are like and how well you can cushion the shock of running. Then again, I run 3 times a week, 3 miles per time, and sometimes sports. I've never had leg issues from running though.
