Still fuming about this. It hits on all of the things I didn't want to be incorporated:

    Fruit base/theme? Check.
Greek Froyo as opposed to full fat ice cream? Check

Man, the thing could have at least been redeemed with a logical secondary component, like a meringue swirl. Instead, they decide to go the hipster route and go with blueberry-lavender. Just so many levels of fail here it's hard to keep them all straight. Jimmy status= rustled.

If they nail a really sweet base flavor with the lemon and find a good way to incorporate the blueberry swirl, I could see myself enjoying this new flavor.

Ben and Jerry in charge of sucking these past few years. Ever since Uniliver took over, the quality and consistency of the product has been on a steady decline. Just look at the Dreyer's line - once the pinnacle of store bought ice cream, now just a 'frozen dairy product.' Not that HD has done any better with the drop of that one ounce, lol.

I can't even recall the last time BnJ released a truly bona fied flavor that bnj fans demanded.

So far the only Greek Froyo of theirs that hasn't been a major disappointment is Banana Peanut Butter, in my opinion. Even that only gets a "decent" rating from me, in light of my exceptional love for peanut butter+banana and the slightly friendlier macros.

GY is what sells. I hope this trend calms down soon. I was fine until B&J diverted resources to producing new bullshxt flavors as opposed to their bread and butter cream-based pints.

And frankly, their new ice cream flavors aren't very enticing. I want another pint with loads of diverse mix-ins, swirls, cake bits, peanut butter cups, etc. I'll be okay if they called it GY.

Too bad BnJs GY flavors still rank up there in cals/macros vs the real thing. Makes it hard to be competitive, especially when your flavors are blah.

I don't even like the smell of lavender, never mind eating the stuff. Very disappointing.

In better news, Jeni's have unveiled their Valentine's day selection.

I know unusual flavor combinations are kind of a thing for BnJ's, but...lavender? Seriously?

I know I am probably the minority, but I actually do like lemon flavored goodies. I'm one of those guys who still fumes that lemon is no longer included in standard Life Savers or Jolly Ranchers packets. I could have gone for a lemon pie flavor, or maybe even some kind of lemon-y sherbert. I wouldn't try a free sample of this if it was handed right to me.

Doesn't look like it. Looks like it's just a flavoring.

Ingredients: SKIM MILK, GREEK NONFAT YOGURT (CULTURED SKIM MILK, NATURAL FLAVOR, CARRAGEENAN), LIQUID SUGAR (SUGAR, WATER), CREAM, WATER, CORN SYRUP, CORN SYRUP SOLIDS, BLUEBERRY PUREE, EGG YOLKS, SUGAR, NONFAT YOGURT POWDER (CULTURED NONFAT MILK), LOCUST BEAN GUM, PECTIN, LEMON OIL, MALIC ACID, NATURAL FLAVOR.

Gothamist already has a sort of review on it.

"The Greek frozen yogurts are known for their tartness, but we found Liz Lemon to be smoother and creamier than the rest of the line—think more lemon gelato than lemon sorbet. The blueberry-lavender swirl is barely perceptible, but added a nice visual contrast to the otherwise plain-looking frozen yogurt."

I must say I still love Phish food.
Maybe it's the fact it's the first ever flavor I had years ago, or maybe it's the marshmallow in it I love

I bought this for two reasons; 1. Because I've developed a taste for mint ice creams lately, and 2. So I can say I've tried every single Signature Chip flavor offered by Graeter's. I was not expecting it to become one of my favorite flavors of Graeter's. Hell, I might even consider this the best one if you can believe it. The ratio of sweetness to the floral minty note is on-point. Everything just comes together so well in this. I'll be re-buying this sooner rather than later.
