Say what you want about Ovi but every season about 3-4 times the Caps will go on a 3+ game slide where only Ovechkin scores a goal(s)

LoL@ people who are still acting like the B's are clear cut the best in the East.

The gap is closer now, but I'd still pick them to come out of the East next year as the rosters stand now. I still think they were the best team in the Eastern Conference, but had to play that **** ass team that they struggle against. If St. Louis and Nash can play well next year, I like the Rangers a lot.

Without getting into the Western Conference teams possibly having a tougher road to the finals, I'd say these are my pre-season favorites to win the Stanley Cup.

Rangers
Sharks (Unless Thornton is traded)
Penguins
Ducks


I can't put the Kings as the favorite as it's just too damn tough to repeat, and you know the Blackhawks want another chance at them. The Bruins are a pretty big question mark to me right now as we don't know what will happen with Marchand and Iginla.

Bruins are there, but I think the Habs, Bolts, Wings, and Flyers are right there with them.

Rags are a wildcard, unless they manage to trade Nash and Lundqvist after they buyout Richards I don't see them having the cap room to retain enough of their key guys to be competitive again, but we'll see what the offseason brings in regards to the roster.
