just experiment with the length and see what the fish are eating. most people tie a palomar knot to get the hook upright. i usually tie my regular knot, when im done tying the hook on i take the tag end and stick it back through the hook eye, puts the hook upright.

I like La Paz the best it's just so lay back. Food and fishing's a little better in Mazatlan but La Paz has that small town feel that gives it the edge for me. The week of September 16th is the best month for La Paz, dodo's, tuna and Mexican independence day. I don't know how it is now but that place used to get scary wild on the 16th.

Ice was leaving the lakes, snow was mostly gone, looked like warm weather on its way, suppose to get the boat this weekend, fishing by next....
Now a winter storm warning here?!

Went out to el cap a couple days ago. Huge tournament the week before seemed to have changed the pattern they were on. I think mainly from the fish being moved from a couple miles away to the docks for weigh ins had something to do with it. Eventually found the key and put together a few decent ones.
bass brah's don't be mad.

Walked about five miles up this river and lost four big browns. Just wasn't my day. Only one I managed to get in:

brah, this addiction to fishing is too much..I think about fishing all day when I'm at work, and when I'm home I just look up fishing gear.
The only time I don't think about fishing is when I'm lifting..what to do?

Fiancee bought be a ardent edge elite reel. It was over $300... I was never into spending big for reels but damn am I excited for it to come in!
Getting warmed up for some upcoming bass tournaments. Going to Colin's lake next week, hopefully I'll have luck with my spinners like I did last year. Caught a 10lb and a 8lb back to back over at lake shasta with my spinners!! Freakin ridiculous!!
