Haha I was about 4 months ago. Dirty bulk is dirty.
I hate when that happens. Thanks.
I don't think you do. While the weight gain is having the desired effect of helping me bring my lifts up, it's a lot more fat gain than I would like. Also, when you gain weight easily like this, you have a tougher time loosing weight during the cut.
In the video you just posted, at about 2:10, Dave Tate tells the sumo puller to get his shoulders behind the bar
I'll check it out.
When I got my belt, I was on an extremely tight budget, so I ended up getting a cheap $20 bb.com belt. While it has served me pretty well, I do wish I had just saved up some more cash and bought a good belt. I'll agree with Matt, I'll eventually end up getting an Inzer Forever Lever belt. I think BOB and PG316 have the same belt too.Powerlifting Log - http://tinyurl.com/jshaw5

Got to the gym this afternoon, a$$holes moved a bunch of stuff around. The section where the dumbbell rack and bench presses were was cleared out, now it's a big fenced-in open area for god knows what One of the flat benches was moved to another room with the decline bench, while the other 2 flat benches were moved to the other side with the incline benches. Everything is crammed in their so tight now. Couldn't find a good spot to set up my camera, so no videos today. Sucks because bench went awesome and I wanted to see how my sumo speed pulls looked.
Macenko Bench 6A
Barbell Bench Press:
45 lb x 10 reps (+42 pts)
95 lb x 5 reps (+50 pts)
135 lb x 3 reps (+53 pts)
165 lb x 8 reps (**** pts)
202.5 lb x 6 reps (+110 pts)
230 lb x 4 reps (+114 pts)
242.5 lb x 3 reps (+109 pts)
247.5 lb x 4 reps (+128 pts) PR
230 lb x 6 reps (+133 pts) PR
215 lb x 8 reps (+128 pts)
Awesome day today. Hit 4 reps at 92% pretty easy, pretty sure I had 5, kinda pissed I didn't try. Also hit a rep PR at 230, again I think I left one in the tank.
Close-Grip Barbell Bench Press:
155 lb x 8 reps (+85 pts)
155 lb x 8 reps (+85 pts)
Sumo Deadlift:
135 lb x 5 reps (+66 pts)
185 lb x 3 reps (+74 pts)
225 lb x 1 reps (+66 pts)
Reverse Band Sumo Speed Deadlift
215 at bottom 275 at top x 1 reps x 10 (+760 pts) 1 rep every 30 seconds
Tried to focus on setting up better, pushing my knees out more, and pulling back more. I'd say pulling back more was a success since I stumbled backwards on one of the reps lol. I'm going to change these up next time I do them, probably do doubles instead of singles and focus more on setup and form rather than timing. I feel like when I'm hitting a rep every 30 seconds, I'm rushing my setup too much and not making sure I get everything right.Powerlifting Log - http://tinyurl.com/jshaw5

Thanks man, it's starting to come along nicely.
Yeah I watched that one before, I like that one. I wish he would make a So You Think You Can Deadlift series of videos like the bench and squat videos. He made a comment in that video that makes it sounds like he's planning on it, but that was over a year ago and still nothing.
Somewhere around there. I don't remember exactly when I ended my cut, but it was some time around there, maybe a little before I started TM. I had a major binge on Labor Day weekend, shot up to like 210 just that weekend, and the bulk has been pretty dirty since then.

Thanks, me too. I think things are shaping up nicely for a run at 300.
I'll admit, I did lol a bit. I think his jimmies are still rustled from the pic I posted in his logPowerlifting Log - http://tinyurl.com/jshaw5

Texas Method Intensity Day
Barbell Squat:
45 lb x 5 reps (+36 pts)
150 lb x 5 reps (+73 pts)
230 lb x 3 reps (+100 pts)
305 lb x 2 reps (+140 pts)
380 lb x 5 reps (+343 pts) PR vid
OMG this was heavy. A bit ugly, but there's no way I wasn't getting all my reps. This makes it +50 lbs to my 5RM since I started TM
Macenko Bench 6B
Barbell Bench Press:
45 lb x 10 reps (+42 pts)
95 lb x 5 reps (+50 pts)
135 lb x 3 reps (+53 pts)
165 lb x 8 reps (**** pts)
202.5 lb x 6 reps (+110 pts)
230 lb x 4 reps (+114 pts)
242.5 lb x 3 reps (+109 pts) vid
242.5 lb x 3 reps (+109 pts)
230 lb x 8 reps (+142 pts)PR vid
215 lb x 8 reps (+128 pts)
Huge PR, that puts my estimated 1RM over 290. Killed myself getting 230x8, but it was worth it. Pretty drained, so very happy to still get 8 reps at 215.
Sumo Deadlift:
135 lb x 5 reps (+66 pts)
225 lb x 3 reps (+97 pts)
290 lb x 1 reps (+102 pts)
355 lb x 5 reps (+290 pts)
These don't feel like my back is going to explode, but still pretty damn tough after a 5RM squat. I still need to work on pushing my knees out and pulling back more.
