So a .44. Nice. My only revolver is a 642, but it's one of my favorites.
I picked up a Kel Tec RDB today. Wanted it for my son, in case some idiots decide having a handle on your rifle is illegal...
Never thought I'd buy a Kel Tec, but the RDB design won me over. It's fully ambidextrous, so perfect for my lefty son if he ever wants that style of firearm. Beto really is a great salesman

Bought two of these smart plugs.
and 1 smart switch by the same brand.
They work flawlessly with the Smart Life app tied into my Google Home app for automated actions and voice commands. I installed the smart switch for my outside garage lights. I was tired of going into my garage to turn on/off the lights every evening and morning. This smart switch allowed me to set a daily timer. Now it turns on/off by itself and I don't have worry about a dang thing. Love it.
I tried adding these devices to Alexa but holy moly that app is a mess and makes things far more difficult. I keep my Alexa devices for my TV and the rest of my house is tied to Google. With the new and improved Google Nest Mini I'm buying more of those to spread them out across my house.
Next up...smart thermostat. Any suggestions boyos?**Texas Crew**

Stop copying me srs.
The spotlight cam threw me off since it comes with a lengthy cable and a plug, I thought it was going to replace the current spotlight and connect to the existing wiring. I haven't installed that yet, might just chop it and wire it in.
The Ecobee is another small project, my current thermostat doesn't have a C wire. I ordered a power supply and figured how I will snake the wire from the basement up to the thermostat location, that should be here tomorrow. This reminded me that I need to run out and get some string, thanks!Me caveman, put round things on bar, lift, pound chest.

Ha! The ecobee comes with the PEK (power extender kit) unit already. So, you don't really need to pull another wire. Just need to go to your air handler and install the PEK. Or, more often than not, most HVAC installers all use the same 6 wire romex cable (built for a heat pump and common wire along with power/compressor/heat/fan). If they did, you'll need to pick and connect the common wire. That will give you the 5 wire setup needed.
None of my thermostat's have a C wire either. I haven't looked yet, but hoping that the guys used the 6 wire romex. I'm only installing 1 thermostat but there are 3 in my house, so there is likely going to be multiple trips up the ladder to the attic to figure out which air handler goes to which thermostat.
I haven't even opened the floodlight box yet, but have a location that I'll rob power from laid out. Hoping that's an easy install too.You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

Unfortunately the PEK won't save me, my main floor thermostat is only wired with white and red cables, so I either run a C wire from the furnace or buy a power supply (which I did) and run that up to the thermostat.
I just read that the back of the base of the Ring light unscrews showing the connectors, opening it I have also learned that the ground wire is not attached to anything, after all the casing is plastic, like someone else said they must have gotten a really good deal on 3 prong plugs. So I need to take off the old floodlight and see how I'm going to mount this thing, fkin rain up here for the next few daysMe caveman, put round things on bar, lift, pound chest.

New LG 4K monitor. Gonna have 2 at new office eventually. Testing 1 to start with.
LG 27UK850-W
Models are confusing. Several using the same panel but the 850 is color calibrated at the factory and can have custom color calibration profiles applied, is flicker free and has USB Type C connectivity.
Grabbed a PCI-E 1X slot NVMe adapter. Surprisingly hard to locate. Need full size PCIe slot for a GPU to drive the two 4k screens and only 1 of those so using this adapter to keep my NVMe drive.
GPU will probably be a Quadro card that can drive multiple high res screens.
Machine I'm taking to the office is a Lenovo Thinkcentre M700 with a 6700 CPU, 2x 16G DDR4, Samsung 950pro, HGST 2TB 7200 NAS drive. Bought it dirt cheap off Ebay with no RAM or HDD.Sig line can't be a novel

I've picked up a bunch of other small things here and there for this project (thinset mortar, Redgard, extra grout float, etc). I've posted some pics of the project in the DIY thread here:

It should be pretty similar to this:
Main difference is the tile in that niche--that tile is very similar to what's going on my floor. I've got this white herringbone mosaic for the niche, also with black grout:
Yeah, the valve attaches straight to the faucet. I was hoping I'd be able to use the old Gerber valve that's already in the wall but it doesn't match up with my Moen faucet. I just picked up some extra pex and adapters so I can get this thing switched out. Here's the current setup:
As you can see, I need to move the whole valve over to the right a little to center up on the new tub. I'm going to add an extra 2x4 to secure the new valve in place. Here's a pic of the valve test fitted to the faucet with pex adapters in place:
