the issue is that very few individuals actually earns $50 million per year - the large wealth deposits you've heard about technically are the values of the corporations, and not a person's net worth . for example Bill Gates is not worth ~60billion, Microsoft is, and that money is not floating around in a pool, it's in the stock market or invested

I see this argument consistently... everybody wants to blame the people with the money, while ignoring the officials, governments, people that take "bribes" or are "influenced" by this money.

still though, officials taking money for votes isn't the only influence billionaires have. they funded most of their campaigns to get them into that office in the first place which leads to the illusion of choice when the people go to vote.

we the people could pass laws making their bank accounts transparent and their corrupt legal bribes illegal, punishable by death and yet these billionaires would certainly find a loophole, and if they couldn't, they'd use their power to create one.

personally, I don't have a problem with the idea of a billionaire because theoretically we can decide who the billionaires are by voting for them with our spending habits. kinda hard when you have a huge population of idiots who don't give a **** who they give their money to though. that's part of the reason why i'm strongly for a eugenic program. you can't have a healthy capitalistic society with a bunch of ****ing retards running around.

We need to redistribute wealth but this isn't the way, it removes the incentive for a business to be as profitable as it can. It'd be better if businesses invested more in education within their sectors, at least in that way businesses will be rewarded with better skilled workers and it will create more jobs.
