People act like Floyd is going to just let her come in and clinch him. By the time she gets in for the clinch, she eats 10 punches each of which is far harder and faster than she has ever experienced. She got lit up on her feet by Meisha Freakin' Tate. Floyd hits 10x harder and faster than she does. Ronda is Judo/BJJ, so she generally takes down from the clinch. She won't shoot for a takedown (and if she does, I am sure Money knows how to sprawl, in which case, good night Ronda if he gets on top of her).

I'll never understand how people can claim to be interested in combat sports, but have no clue about clashes in style.

Even if Ronda was a 135 dude. She's a CLINCHER who needs to get in close to execute her takedowns. Heres the problem she has no striking defence, and has never shown her self to be inventive or tricky when closing the distance. Her game plan is to charge in get the takedown and go for the submission. She doesn't step to the side, she doesn't slip, dodge weave or try to avoid shots. In fact her movements can be so robotic I doubt she has the ability to do that. Despite that some of you are clueless enough to think she the ability to beat Floyd? Floyd has better footwork than any body in the game (light years ahead of say a Frankie Edgar), he also has the fastest, most accurate hands. There is no way he doesn't dance around, light Ronda up, and take her out.

What makes this even more dumb, is that Rhonda has shown that she does panic and get flustered when she's getting hit...but somehow that wont happen against Floyd because he's not on the same level as a Meisha Tate or Sara Mcmann in striking ability.

This is what happens when you charge forward against Floyd...

Lmao, Mayweather is an elite male athlete. He has that boxing cardio, speed and footwork. He wouldn't come in there expecting a boxing match and be surprised. He could easily control distance, land a nasty jab and finish her before she even has a chance. Technique can only make up for so much.

This. Not to mention, as soon as he had the go ahead that he's be fighting her, say 4-6 weeks out, he's be able to quickly develop some of the crucial basic knowledge needed for MMA.

The size and strength argument is the only thing I disagree with in this thread. Is he really that much bigger? She cuts to make 135, right? Is Mayweather really that strong? Is he deadlifting 300 and squatting 400? IF it did go to the ground or even the clinch he wouldnt have enough of a strength advantage to stop her from doing what she wanted.

I hate to pull the do you even train card, but surely even if you don't you have seen videos of people getting tapped by someone way smaller then them because experience and technique > strength.

Mayweather is a lot stronger and a bit bigger. Ronda walks around at 150, Mayweather probably walks around at 160 (guess on my part). Men can cut more weight than women. Also, the big difference: He is a male. Males are a lot stronger than females.

The problem is actually getting to him. Mayweather isn't going to just stand there and let her clinch him. He would use his punches and footwork to keep her away. And his punches are 10x harder than anyone she has been punched by.
