Yeah I mean I played roller and ice from like about age 6 onward, and it pretty much became more and more popular every year
Used to have to play our games at like 4-5am because it's the only time we could get ice time, but there are rinks all over down here...both ice and roller

Hard time making the playoffs? In no situation is making the playoffs in the West easy but c'mon.
Out of those that made it last year, I don't really see any one of them missing. Varlamov regressing or not, they made it pretty comfortably last year.
Only other team that may make it is Vancouver, and I'd put them at having a slightly better chance than AZ. In other words, I doubt either will.
I'm going with the same 8 as last season.

Is this the year the Oilers finally click?
Will the Leafs blow away the end of their season again?
Are the new and improved Islanders going to make the playoffs?
Will the Red Wings continue their playoff streak?
How long will Brodeur be around for?
Who will get McDavid?
Who will be the dark horses?
...
Players I'm excited to watch this year: Tyler Seguin, Jamie Benn, Jonathan Drouin, Logan Couture, Tomas Hertl, Nathan Mackinnon, Matt Duchene, Patrice Bergeron, Kyle Turris, Tyler Toffoli, Ryan Strome, Tomas Tatar, and Sean Monahan.Starting Weight: 138lbs

One more day until the Flyers are hopefully taught a lesson. I hope Lucic lets Giroux know who's boss. If the Night Train tries anything, Mr. Chara will make him think twice for the next time.

So I know there's not many Hawks fans on here, but what do you guys think is an honest assessment of the team for this year? I still say the Hawks and Kings are the class of the West and adding Richards really filled a big need for them. I think the biggest question mark will be Crawford.

If Crawford does well, the team should do well. I have Richards in 3 of my fantasy leagues this year in the hopes that he'll have a breakout season with the hawks.. he's 2nd line, with Shaw moving down to third.
That being said, I hope Nyquist is the true breakout player this season.
