It's been floating around for months..
But I suggest that you do it. DO IT.
I'm going to write up the final review tomorrow - very impressed. Consistent, steady, and noticeable improvements in body composition and strength while working my ass off for the old man.NOV || Ohio Chapter || Be more, have less.

I still feel EC in terms of energy but I can always eat, except when I dose Craze
Start performing Side Bends with heavy resistance to build up your obliques somewhat, if you aren't already you should notice some major growth in those areas.NSCA CSCS

I am inclined to think that an aesthetically pleasing V taper is not indicative merely of a small hip circumference, but rather the relationship between the width of the torso (in particular the structure of the lats) also combined with a trim waistline and a genetically gift hip structure.
Having a thick midsection (including the obliques) will not give you a killer V taper in any sense of the word.
You'll notice most bodybuilders do not do heavy resistance for their abdominal area as it can lead to this thicker midsection, which is not as aesthetically pleasing in regards to their concerns. I avoid most direct abdominal work - I feel that a significant amount of heavy work for the lower body and back hit it sufficiently. I will do some crunches and reverse crunches to work on the mind-muscle connection, separation, and muscle detail.
If I am training in a powerlifting context, I will, however, supplement my deadlift days (as on 5/3/1 or Westside) with weighted ab work because it makes sense in that context.
I was speaking from the perspective of a bodybuilder seeking what has been deemed as the ideal physique - your training methodologies and the ideal exercises and programs will obviously depend upon your ultimate goal and your personal beliefs, as well as the structure of your body and your response to various types of training.NOV || Ohio Chapter || Be more, have less.

You misconstrued thick with developed which is the goal.
Most don't these days because they're juiced to the gills and would look stupid, the obliques aren't going to blow up from direct ab work. You hit your arms consistently for years now, how rapidly have they grown recently compared to when you began?
Arnold did a lot of direct ab work and his use wasn't on par with those of modern day BBers. Adding muscle mass to your obliques will improve definition and the inward flow of the muscle lines help the visual of the v-taper.NSCA CSCS

HEAVY RESISTANCE TRAINING YIELDS DEVELOPMENTS IN THICKNESS. Lighter, higher-rep training, which I supported, would yield the development, without undue thickness, that you're looking for.
Most don't these days because they're juiced to the gills and would look stupid, the obliques aren't going to blow up from direct ab work.
And, in my mind, ab work equates to the entire core, so I was including the obliques.

Arnold did a lot of direct ab work and his use wasn't on par with those of modern day BBers. Adding muscle mass to your obliques will improve definition and the inward flow of the muscle lines help the visual of the v-taper.
His insane back development could've made up for even a very poor or thick midsection in regards to that V shape.
Additional mass does not equate to improved definition, although it may show more definition under more fat (since I've further development my legs, I've had additional separation and definition at the same body fat, for example). The flow and proportion of the muscle perhaps may be altered by training, but not in a positive way in every case.
The anatomical variables behind the V taper are many.
No sense fighting about it though.NOV || Ohio Chapter || Be more, have less.

Explain the difference you mean between development and thickness?
I'm sorry if you thought it was implied I don't think their top tier athletes in their sport. Muscle is acquired not given and I have no doubt they train hard, I actually never said they didn't. What I did say is their chemical enhancement allows a large accrual of muscle mass from the same stimulus of training, if it didn't why the **** would they use them...
It enables them to go beyond their natural limits and all I'm referencing is the build of a natural core where strong/defined obliques would by no means take away from the V-Taper.
They're all muscles wtf do you mean relevance. Are you not a natural athlete? All muscle grows from resistance training and certain muscles get frequently ignored or under worked. If you're only getting core work in through heavy lifting then you aren't stimulating them the same growth you could be with direct work. It would be like doing 3-4 squats on leg day and then leaving the gym. You'd definitely be working legs, you'd certainly see some growth but you skipped the rest of the lift and are leaving a ton of potential in the weight room.
Arnold used training techniques that are very much antiquated now. And he was juiced out of his mind. D-Bol at age sixteen, anyone?
He worked everything hard as often as he could, have you seen his routine?
No, not for a natural athlete who trains properly.
Largely due to lackluster resistance training
You started it amigoNSCA CSCS
