Had my first meet today. I've been self-coached since I started lifting in November, and I knew the guy in charge of the meet, so he hooked me up with a great coach to help me with my warm ups and attempts today.
My best training lifts are 100 and 115 (jerk sucks bc it took forever to heal a torn bicep tendon last September), so I opened with 90 and 105. Hit 90/95 and missed 100. Hit 105, pressed out 110, so then I hit 111.
I was happy to just come out with a total and hitting 4/6 lifts. I'm glad to get the first one out of the way because my nerves were through the roof. Can't wait to compete again.**MISC LIFTING CREW**

Hey guys long time lurker, Ive been doing Olympic lifts for about 3 months now and ive hit 175lb snatch and 205 C&J and all I have to say is I love this ****, I feel so strong all the time freaking love it, I'm still debating if I'm going to go to my first meet in September. Your vids give great tips.

tried squatting 160x5 today twice. both times missed on the 5th god damn rep. hit the bounce but couldnt get past parallel on the 5th. I did those 10s last 4 weeks, but 5r is another animal. the intensity of a 5rm is on another level

hoping to hit a 140 CJ soon. thats my next little goal. then 120 snatch
OHH also i did front rack walking lunges w/o a belt! SO HARD! i did them with 80 kee. 10 reps. 5 each leg. hopefully some carryover to FS and jerk stability.
