Oh, it is ON now...I guess they just want us to show them up! Sure, men lose weight more easily than women, but they will not look NEAR as slammin' as we will, and they will have to grovel when they see the results! I hope you ladies are 100% dedicated to this! Don't let them be right!

team name
I think we need a team name...probably something that starts with "G". Any ideas? I'll try to think of something, too.

hi Shaneekjacobs, are you on keto? You still need to add in some more vegetables to your diet for complex carbs, fibre and vitamins.
Green veg scuh as broccoli and spinach only has a few carbs per serving and being on keto, you can add butter (not margarine!) to make it more palatable if you likeLIFT. EAT. REST. REPEAT.

Are you on Keto:
Good Afternoon,
Nope...I forgot to add the weekend portion of this diet which is a carbo loading phase.I do not do a all out low protein.I do a cycle of high protein and low carb 5 days a week and 2 days of high cabs low protein to restore insulin levels. I am not trying to loss weight just to become more lean .This diet optimizes the body's ability to burn stored fat for energy while the carb loading allows for BBCA and EEA as well as other nutrients to be used by the muscles for muscle building .NikkiArieBishopJacobs (FB)

Wow - MissThing and Shanneek are just on fire! I'm so impressed...
Me, I just got a copy of Starting Strength by Rippetoe... Got to start somewhere right? Just had a protein bar for breakfast and sashimi and salad for lunch... I'm scared to do the ultra low carb thing, I've tried before, and I have no energy and feel nauseous all the time (I tried for 3 weeks), so I don't know how you amazing gals do it... since going up the stairs was more than I could handle at that time...
I'm determined to make this lifestyle change, I know I can put on muscle quickly if I try, I need to step up the cardio and say buh-bye to the fat
So let's go Team Goddess!!Last edited by Jadesky; 01-02-2008 at 12:51 PM. Reason: Edited because I spelt a couple of names wrong - duh me...

Well, they certainly have me pegged wrong! I have been VERY successful AND VERY dedicated with my new healthy lifestyle. It has been almost a year of constant working out and eating in the most healthiest of ways.
As of today, I have lost 60 pounds! THAT doesn`t JUST happen with wishful thinking!!
And just because 'I' may be a BB newbie, that doesn`t mean I`m not in for the long haul. Everyone of us was a newbie, at some point..remember??
I`ve been active with Spark People, coming up on a year next month, and have never missed a single day of logging my foods and tracking my fitness. I even survived ALL the Holiday`s and LOST weight through each and every one of them! Check out my before and after pictures in my profile, if you think 'I' don`t know how to get the job done!
So to cast aside the 'newbies' , or most of the females in general, is a HUGE mistake! It is usually the classified, under dogs, that make the greatest strides.
This cutting challenge isn`t just about 'winning' ONLY. Who cares who makes the #1 spot! Every last person, man or woman, who applies themselves, sticks it out, and tries their very best..is the TRUE winner!!~Shelly~

G Team name Requested by rdf803
Hi rdf803...
We definately need a name for our G Team. I put some thought into some names, however, I am not very girly, so I would not pick a "girly" name, but I DID think of everyone on the team, girly or not. So here is what I came up with:
Gladiator Girls, or just plain Gladiators
Glamour Gals
Glitter Girls
Golden Gals
Great Danes, lol
Gypsy Girls
I LIKE TWO.
1. Gladiators ( but its very commonly used )
2. Gypsy Girls ( which is more unique )
SO DOES ANYBODY ELSE HAVE SOME GOOD NAMES TO VOTE ON?Last edited by YMCA4ThisChick; 01-02-2008 at 01:53 PM.

I know this gives my age away ... ...
But how about the "G Team"? (Remember the "A Team" from the 80's, with Mr. T?)~ Penney

Gladiators is the one that stuck out to me! Plus, it pays tribute to Tanji Johnson, among others, who have done articles on this site, been successful fitness and figure competitors, and is now in the all new season of American Gladiators on TV!

We'll give our mentor the last word, but if MissThing doesn't object (and it doesn't look like she will!), then Gladiators it is! Great job, YMCA!

Dinner tonight was a couple of boca burgers (soy) and some broccoli.
