Was reading a book written by someone who grew up in South Africa. He said that lions would lie in wait along S.A's border fences and attack illegal immigrants trying to sneak in. They developed a taste for human meat and authorities would regularly find arms and legs along the border. Apparently the lions liked to skin their victims alive by licking their skin off with their rough tongues. Then they would suck the blood out before eating the meat. The irony is that local bushmen would lie in wait for the man-eating lions and after they'd eaten and fallen asleep the bushmen would run up and spear them with darts made from poisonous caterpillars. They would then eat them. It sick.

idk about all that, but it is fact that certain prides of lions do get a taste for human meat and thats all they eat. the ghost and the darkness was based on a true story i read the book.
