REST DAY! So happy about that Yay! May go driving this morning. It's dark and foggy and rainy out, so we won't likely be doing much today. Maybe a trip to town to pick up a few things. Tomorrow is chest and biceps day! Actually really looking forward to next week's workouts!

Got an email back from the University about the body composition testing! They want me to come in tomorrow morning, and suddenly I feel like I don't care enough I really don't. Seems like too much work for my lack of caring I am curious though. I'm also up 3lbs today I imagine because of the creatine. And salt and carbs. And I don't care about that either! Summer's over and abs do not matter at the moment. I'm totally focused on eating enough to get stronger in the gym. Not bulking, but maintenance eating + tons of carbs and creatine seems to be doing the trick Homemade pizza tonight! I'll probably cook my own stir-fry to get my protein in and then have a small piece of that. YUM!

Hahaha! So tired today! Really enjoying the break
Thanks, I am! It was tempting, but in the end I resisted the urge
Nope- it's a volunteer thing! I'm interested in doing it, but gas money to get there, the early time getting up, no morning coffee because they want blood from me as well and I have to fast for 12 hours, Stephen waiting around for an hour....I don't know. I'm probably just being wishy washy because I'm so lazy at the moment lol! We'll seeTeam Cookies Give You Superpowers

Woo DXA scan! I wrote them too, so hopefully I'll hear back. We shall see, I suppose.
I was thinking - do they give the results of the test? Of course they must... But I guess I was just wondering since it's research for THEM... But it really wouldn't make sense for them to do the scans and then keep all the dirty details for themselves, right? Cool on the DXA scan! Wonder what the blood work is for......and what are they researching?

Gah! I had to fast all morning! I just devoured a delicious protein chocolate chip pancake w/peanut butter and syrup. Yum!! Yeah, so I didn't know if I was actually going to get this done today- I sort of got lost in the hospital for a good 30 minutes! I asked everyone where the room was and no one knew. I was in the wrong wing! I had to retrace my steps and follow the map again (I printed off a map with directions..) anyway On to the goodies!
My bones were pretty good. Do we care about bones??? I'll tell you anyway. I was just barely in the average range with those. I wasn't happy with that. Gotta eat more calcium! But my lumbar spine pieces? Hugely above average. Emaculate spine! Yay!
Ok, body composition!
I weighed in at 123.3lbs in the hospital. Measured in at 163.6 cm (I used to be 164)
Arms: 16.7%
Legs: 25.6%
Trunk: 16%
Android (abdominal region): 11%
Gynoid (hips and thigh): 30%
BF%= 19.3%
Lean Mass: 99.5lbs
Was not expecting that. Was expecting more along the lines of 23-25%, to be totally honest! I have 56lbs of lean mass in my trunk! 45lbs total in my legs, 13.4 in my arms, 21.3 lbs in my gynoid, and 7lbs in my android. But anyways! My throat has been scratchy now for a few days, and I'm still really tired. Once the caffeine kicks in I might feel more like myself, but I might take today off and rest up as well. I'll see how I feel in about an hour. If I do a workout today- it'll be chest and biceps!Last edited by gobbles23; 08-14-2012 at 08:12 AM.

Awesome results! Not that I'm surprised by how much muscle you have--I ain't blind You've worked so hard and put on so much mass. You should be very proud of yourself, chickie. Now, about those bones...more cheese and broccoli and another five years of lifting those heavy, heavy weights and you'll be golden!

Cool stuff Lori And I'm pleased to discover I have a reasonable eye - I'd have guessed you at around 19% from your piccies!
This is also excellent news about your exemplary spine!
Hope that scratchy throat is just a one-day thing and not the start of any sort of lurgy - get lots of fluids, vitamin C and yummy food down youThe Journal: Epiphanies, DOMS & Cottage Cheese

Hope you are feeling better and the caffeine works it's magic!

Ooooh I'm jealous about the body comp thing! I had a DEXA but it was just to check bone density. I wonder how much one would cost? Do one now before I really bulk then after!
