Turning into a RH appreciation thread. I was in constant pain and didn't realize it. Took me nearly a year to get used to NOT having tightness and pain. It does only one thing that nothing else can do and that one thing is invaluable to me.
For what it's worth I leave it tilted up and use the strap exclusively these days. I'll mess with the foot attachment at some point. Mech added another joint to finally make it functional.

I know that some people want to have nothing to do with a RH. It's a godsend for my back, with the traction I receive from it. Like most of us that love them, they take up a lot of room in the gym, but well worth it to me

Assuming you mean reverse hypers and not monos, no advantage just quite different in emphasis. Strap is the standard. Emphasis is different with the roller as is the ability to do a leg curl like variant. If I had to pick one, I'd go strap all day. That said, having both is nice and I already owned the roller.

Im thinking about making a platform with a handle to do them with my belt and loading pin. Right now I put two boxes on the side of my power rack and use the safety bar as a handle. The only problem is stepping up on the boxes.
I’m thinking of a pivoting handle like the leverage style units. Being able to lift the loading pin and weights off the platform and walking back slightly to a point where there is a cutout on the platform allowing me to squat down. Kinda like walking out a squat and moving the handle arm back. Hope this makes sense.
Only problem with this is that your stance would be limited to the width of your plates and wider. Cheaper then the other options though
