You're right. My guess is that it's more of a logical question. Technically the problem doesn't say that the rectangle can't contain more than 10 triangles. So you wouldn't technically be wrong as long as you had at least 10 triangles inside the rectangle.

If that was the case, just draw a rectangle as big as the entire thing itself and you're done.

This is the answer. lol @ counting the adjacent same colored triangles as an extra triangle. It's clearly just two triangles beside each other, hence the line in between.

Good catch. There are 12 total triangles in that image if you use multiple colors. You have to make adjustments to make it work with those factors.

That's what we're all still doing lol. It's far more interesting that way, but let's be real. Like superherc said, this is a problem for 4th graders. They aren't counting the large triangles made by combining 2 small, or any triangles created by drawing a rectangle that overlaps existing shapes. They question also just says "circle" a rectangle that contains 10 triangles, not create a rectangle.

I have control of every inch of my body including my eyes. The amount of strength it takes each eye to see with the white layout is a test of will and endurance.. any true high iq would understand this and practice it daily

The teacher said that probably was a mistake.

In misc honor i had to find the solution. Called to editor, and after a lot of insistence someone told me that what they meant to say was 11 triangles.

In that case it´s easy 4 boxs.
